"Bullsh*t!" Naomi exclaimed, "Obviously, it was you who unilaterally proposed for a divorce, Hendrix never agreed to it!" Tina's mouth twitched. She asked, "What's your relationship with Hendrix now? And what's going on with Miss Zanes?"

"Yes, your relationship is so complicated!" Rainie said, "Now that new and old lovers have met, it is so awkward. At first, I only thought it was normal for Hendrix and Rowane to sleep together in one tent because they were lovers. Still, it seems in bad taste that the two of them want to sleep together in front of you. Arianna, do you feel awkward?"

I yanked my lip up into a small smile, not wanting to care about Hendrix and Rowane. I muttered, "Don't worry about it. I didn't even give it a thought. It's good for them to be intimate!"

Tina and Rainie asked in shock.

I said helplessly, "If you continue to gossip like this, we will have to stay up till midnight. If it rains, it will be difficult to continue our barbeque night."

"Don't worry, it won't rain. I already saw the weather forecast!" Naomi said in confidence.

"Man proposes, God disposes! Everything is almost ready. Take these and roast them quickly." I handed the sliced potatoes and melons to Naomi and urged her to roast them.

Tina was called away by her boyfriend. Rainie stayed behind and whispered to me, "I heard that Hendrix's company is in Jarold City. You have always said that you were from Asherton, so I assumed that you were born here. I didn't expect that you are from Jarold City. But I am a little curious, did you two divorce because of Rowane?"

I shook my head, continued making the potato skewers. "Nowadays, a lot of couples divorce, and usually it has nothing to do with outsiders. Most of the time, there is something wrong with the couple themselves!"

She nodded, her face unexpectedly lonely. "Yes, it's because we are human. When I got married, I was full of joy and hoped to have a bright future with my husband. I never thought that I would live in hell after marriage. Sometimes I want to escape, but I can't."

I looked at her with a commiserating smile and said, "You've kept gossiping about me. So why don't we talk about your struggles instead?"

I nodded and saw Naomi running towards me. She had a plate in her hand and said, "Come on, here's the specially roasted meat. Have a taste!"

Looking at the meat on the plate, Rainie said, "Did we bring so little meat this time?"

Naomi shook her head. "No, there are a lot of them. Do you remember that we split up the workload to ease our burden? Well, Rowane was supposed to prepare the marinated food, but she didn't do it. So Tina had to do it again. She will join us later after dealing with the food. Have a taste first."

Rainie curled her lips. "Sure enough, understanding someone takes a certain amount of time. Just now, I felt that she was enthusiastic and generous, but now I have begun to hate her."

Naomi nodded and stared at us. "By the way, what did you two talk about just now? You two looked rather stirred up."

"Family affairs!" I handed the freshly- prepared vegetables to her. "Hare you go, these can be roasted now!"

Naomi took the vegetables and asked curiously, "What family affairs? Tell me all about it."
