I nodded. "She asked me out for dinner tonight!"

He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Are you not going to take me with you?"

"Mr. Roberts is still staring at you. You can go with him. I'll go first!" After that, she left immediately.

I was stunned for a moment before I turned and saw Hendrix standing at the hotel entrance with his arms crossed. A pair of gleaming, obsidian eyes were staring at me... And a smile was on his lips. After all, I had just spoken ill of him! I could not bring myself to face him at all!

So, I was determined to ignore him and prepared to leave by myself.

But after a few steps, I was pulled back by him. "Are you still angry?"

I pursed my lips and said haughtily, "No!"

"I know that nothing happened between you and Sebastian. I shouldn't have said those things. I was wrong!" He said with a hint of amusement and helplessness in his tone.

Feeling dazed for a moment, I said in an unreasonable tone, "How could you be wrong? You are the president, the big boss here! So, how could you be wrong? It's definitely all my fault!" After that, I shook off his hand. I was being very petulant, and wanted to leave.

But he grabbed my hand and directly pressed me into his arms. He said helplessly, "That's enough, we have work later. Stop throwing a tantrum. Let's go to the base!"

He behaved like he was coaxing a child. I knew I was wrong and couldn't argue with him anymore.

After a pause, I looked at him and said, "In the future, don't mention this matter!"

He smiled and promised me. "Okay! I won't mention it!"

I always suspected that Evan had a special power. Why could he always appear in time whenever we needed him?
