When I hung up on the call, Evan had already put everything on the table. Seeing that he was washing the oranges, I couldn't help saying, "Let me wash those. Isn't this just troubling for you?" He said, "You should eat first. Mr. Roberts told me to make sure you finish eating and to squeeze some oranges to make you some fresh juice after."

Hendrix's way of doing things was simply too overbearing.

Seeing that Evan wouldn't even allow me to enter the kitchen, I stopped trying with him and just took out all the food from the lunch boxes.

Naomi came over. She was dressed in loose clothes, and her hair was tied up casually. It was quite obvious to me that she had come to me directly from her bed.

"Oh my god, Hendrix is such a great boyfriend. How sweet and kind he is to send all this good food here! I envy you so much!" As she said that, she took a few photos of the spread with her mobile phone. She then said, "I'm going to post this on my social media. I'll tag Sebastian and get him to learn from someone else's boyfriend."

I smiled faintly. I really liked their way of getting along with each other. She then took my phone, took some pictures with it and then started to fiddle around.

Not understanding what she was doing, she said, "Naomi, what are you doing?"

"I'll help you post a picture on yours to show off your sweet moments!" She typed while looking at my social media account and said, "Arianna, why do you not have a single post on your account? Have you never ever posted anything on it?"

I shook my head, replying, "There is nothing for me to post, so I rarely post anything!"

She twitched her lips and said, "What do you mean by 'rarely'? You haven't posted a single thing at all! You're really the first girl I've ever seen who has never posted anything on her social media!"

As she said that, she scrolled through Hendrix's account and said with some disdain, "You both are really husband and wife. You two acted the same way. Both of you have never posted anything at all. How amazing!"

Evan prepared the food and looked at us. He said, "You both should eat while the food is still hot. It'll taste bad if it gets cold later!" Naomi was so hungry that she could care less about her image, so she began to eat sloppily.

I had already eaten in the morning, so I wasn't too hungry. I saw Evan staring at me directly, as if he was afraid that I wouldn't eat much.

I was rendered speechless for a moment, but when I thought of Hendrix's words from earlier, I conceded to eat along with Naomi.

Seeing that we were almost done eating, Evan looked at me and asked, "Madam, when are you coming back tonight?"

"We're not coming back tonight!" Naomi said, "Arianna and I plan to stay at my grandfather's place. You should inform Hendrix later to ask him not to wait for her to come back tonight."

Evan looked at me, a little confused. I nodded my head, showing that I was acknowledging Naomi's words in silence.

Seeing that, Evan seemed to have something else to say. However, in the end, he only said, "I have something else to do, so I'll be leaving first!"

As he left, Naomi looked at me and said, "Does Hendrix still treat you like a child? Why is he so strict?"

I smiled, staying quiet. My phone rang and Naomi took the lead to look at the caller on the phone screen. She squinted her eyes at me and said, "Mr.

Roberts called to show off your lovey-dovey relationship to me again. How boring!"

I took my phone over from her hands and picked up the call, replying, "Hendrix, I've finished the food!"

Hendrix remained silent for a while. His voice was low and magnetic, which was particularly pleasant to the ear, as he said, "Okay, as long as you enjoyed the food!"

I responded and asked, "What's wrong?" Evan should have told him that I was done eating. He was such a busy man, so he shouldn't be calling me just to ask whether I was doing fine or not.

I couldn't help but say, "I may be staying with Naomi in Lancille Village tonight, so don't stay up for me!"
