I was lost in thought. I wasn't sure how I felt. I knew everything that had happened between Hendrix and Andrea, and I also knew how much Hendrix cared for Andrea. It was no different from a brother taking care of his younger sister.

However, after all that had happened, it was inevitable that my mood would be affected.

"What are you thinking about?" A low voice sounded in my ears. It was Hendrix. As he spoke, he took away my milk tea and drank it with the straw I had used.

It was not a big deal, for a husband and wife to do that. But we were in public, and with Andrea around, his actions seemed pretty deliberate.

"Goodness me, the both of you are so clingy. Can you consider the feelings of the outsiders that are in the same room as you two?" Naomi jokingly complained, her eyes filled with joy.

Linda looked at her and teased, "Is this your first time seeing them like this?"

The two of them smiled at each other meaningfully.

The smile on Andrea's face faded slightly, and she tightened her grip on the milk tea. I looked away

from her.

The one that slipped away would always be the one you'd want the most, forever. And maybe to Andrea, Hendrix was that person.

Hendrix put down the milk tea, still looking at me. "It tastes good, but it's indeed a little overwhelmingly sweet. It won't be good for your teeth. You can't drink it too often!"

I smacked my lips in disagreement, "I don't drink it very often. I only drink it occasionally. And like today I still have to share it with you!"

He laughed at my pert reply, "You'd feel so sad over just one sip of milk tea? It seems that I am no match for milk tea."

His tone was low, and he spoke just right next to my ear. With him leaning into my personal space, the sight we presented made it obvious that we were flirting with one another.

For the meal to continue, I switched seats with Sebastian, and sat next to Naomi.

Naomi looked at me and frowned. "Why did you switch? That's your man. Why are you trying to distance yourself from him?"

"It's not that. Sebastian suddenly asked him out for dinner, so he probably wants to talk to him about something. If I don't take the initiative, are you going to let your boyfriend treat us to a barbecue for nothing?"

She was stunned for a moment and then laughed. She looked at me and said, "You're really thoughtful. Thank you for reminding me!"

I was already hungry, so I didn't say much and only focused on eating.

Before long, I felt a bit full. Hendrix and Sebastian were still chatting and I didn't have anything else to do but look at them. To be precise, I was looking at Hendrix. I haven't seen him for a while, but he hadn't changed much beyond losing a bit of weight. He was probably so busy that he hadn't been eating or sleeping well. However, it didn't affect his good looks at all.

Probably feeling my stare burn a hole into him, he suddenly looked up at me. His dark eyes slightly narrowed at me.

Sensing his irritation, I couldn't help my surprise. What did I do wrong? I looked down at myself. Checking to see what triggered him, I realized then that I'd taken my sweater off because the room was warm. My collar was wide open, and people could see right through it.

He tapped on the table numerous times and coughed to get my attention. The unspoken order to sit properly clear to me.

I blinked and quickly sat up straight.

Surreptitiously, I tugged my clothes back into place for decency's sake.

Naomi served me another piece of meat, her smile wide. "You two really can read each other's minds."

I chuckled and continued eating. If that were true, he would not have brought Andrea out with us.
