Chapter 1136

The project at Lancille Village was going smoothly. Soon the partnership between the Roberts and Milton group was coming to an end.

Since major tasks were completed, everyone was hard at work finishing up their individual jobs, finalizing all remaining details. That meant more work to supervise but it wasn't tiring.

Linda became idle. She sorted out the recent progress reports then handed it to me. "I'll leave the rest for you to handle. I have to go back to the city. There's still a lot of work waiting for me!"

I nodded. She was the director of the head office, and a lot of things were waiting for her to deal with. When Sebastian initially thought I might be unable to cope with all the work, she was sent over to help me! Since most of her work was done naturally, she had to return to the office.

After sending Linda away, I went through the documents. At noon, Naomi called me. I thought she was calling to invite me for dinner.

Instead, she told me, "I have to go back to the city. I'll see you there."

I was stunned for a moment and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Why do you need to go back in a hurry?" Especially since she told me that she followed Sebastian here. Why was she now in a hurry to leave?

"I've been here for a few days. I've been to all the places to eat. There's nothing fun here anymore. I'll go back to the city and hang out with Rainie and Tina for a couple of days. When you are back, let's meet up!"

I nodded. In my heart, I knew that she was probably bored in Lancille Village. After all, I had to work, and didn't have time to spend time with her. It was understandable that she was bored. "Be careful on the way, keep in touch!" I still had work to do so I couldn't send her off.

She answered with a "yeah" and said, "By the way, what happened to Andrea yesterday? Is she Mr. Roberts' lover again? I think that woman is soft, but she is more difficult to deal with than Rowane. Are you going to be okay?"

I smiled and said, "It's nothing. Hendrix just regards her as his younger sister. It's no big deal. Don't worry about it."

After gossiping a bit more, she bid me goodbye.

Hugo came looking for me then, "Miss Reid, have you eaten yet? If not, let's go together."

I nodded, got up, and accepted his invitation. As we walked, he mentioned, "I heard that the third party in the project will be coming over. We will probably be in contact with them all day."

"Hm," I said, not really worried. Usually, there would be three parties involved in a development of a project due to the size and the capital of it. No matter how much the workload, there was always a third party.

That was one of the hidden rules in these projects. To put it bluntly, the third party was responsible for supervising the other two parties.

At present, the project was running on schedule so it was natural for the third party to show up. I nodded and thought that I would like to see them.

Before we reached the restaurant at the base, we met Hendrix and Andrea on the way. It seemed that the two of them had the same idea.

Seeing me, Andrea greeted me without any awkwardness, "Miss Reid, where are you going? Hendrix and I are here to pick you up for lunch." Hearing this, Hugo said goodbye to us and left.

I looked at the two of them and frowned. "Hasn't Mr. Shelley arrived yet?"

This woman had been following Hendrix 24 hours a day. She was really making it a bad habit.
