I squinted and raised my eyebrows to look at him. "We?"

He nodded. "Yes, we. Me and you!"

I saw Andrea's forlorn look out of the corner of my eye, as if she couldn't stand it anymore. She got up and said, "Hendrix, I'm full. I'll go back to the hotel first." Hendrix looked at her perfunctorily and nodded. "Okay, be careful on the way. Don't run off!"

Andrea must've thought Hendrix would ask her to stay. She clearly wasn't expect ing him to dismiss her so casually.

She held back her anger and left with her bag.

Hendrix and I remained seated. He smiled into my eyes and placed my favorite dishes onto my plate and said, "You are not allowed to leave any leftovers. Eat up!"

Now that Andrea wasn't hanging around, I got my appetite back. It's not good to let good food go to waste after all.

So I made myself comfortable and continued to eat.

Hendrix spent more time filling my plate than actually eating, as if it was his pleasure to just watch me eat.

I was halfway done and starting to feel full. Yet he kept piling food onto my plate, and I looked at him with some confusion. "Are you feeding a pig?"

He spat out the mouthful of water he had just drank and coughed violently.

I pulled out a tissue and handed it to him. Then I poured him another glass of water. I pushed my plate away. I really couldn't eat another bite.

He finally stopped coughing. His red face looked at me and asked, "Are you full?"

I nodded. "Let's go!"

Then, without waiting for him I got up and left. He followed me out after paying the bill. Catching up to me, he took my hand in his and teased with a smile, "Are you still jealous, after eating?"

I said, "I'm not jealous!" trying to get rid of him.

He smiled and said, "I know."

As he chuckled and I looked at him in confusion. "What are you laughing at?"

He hummed a non-answer, he looked like he was enjoying this. "You're so cute when you're jealous."

"I said, I'm not jealous!" I grumbled, but I was silenced by his knowing smile. I gave up arguing.

However, I wasn't going to forgive him just like that, so I simply said, "Hendrix, we'll sleep in separate rooms in the future!"

He stopped short then frowned and asked, "It's not that serious, is it?"

I snorted coldly. "It's fine if we live separately!"

He pulled me into his arms. He gazed into my eyes and said seriously, "I apologize for today, I didn't handle it well. You can punish me with whatever you want, but let's sleep in the same bed together, okay?" I shrugged and looked at him without fear. "I'll be living in Asherton in the future."

When I saw Hugo's car, I pushed Hendrix away and waved at the car. Hugo stopped and looked at me. "Miss Reid, did you have lunch here?"

I nodded and said with a smile, "Mr. Lance, can I go back to the base with you?"

He smiled and nodded. "Of course. Get in! It's on my way!"

I got in the car and didn't even look at Hendrix.

I was swamped with work all afternoon. Especially since Linda had returned to the city area, and Sebastian wasn't around to help, I had more things to do. When there was finally a break, Sebastian called.

"Arianna, the people involved in the Roberts Group's project have arrived. Come to the hotel to have a meal and get to know each other!"
