Before I could ask more, he hung up the phone. I stared at the phone in my phone, speechless. What?

After hanging up the phone, I stood up and apologized to Irvin, who had just ordered dinner, saying, "Irvin, I'm sorry. Something's come up. I need to go."

Without explaining further, I grabbed my bag and left. Worry for Hendrix filling my thoughts. Although he called my name from behind, I apologized again but didn't stop.

Ground floor of the hotel.

I rushed out and saw Evan helping Hendrix out of the black Bentley. When I saw the white gauze wrapped around his arm, I hurried over anxiously, "What's going on? How did you get hurt?"

Evan gave me a quick glance. "He was in a car accident. He has already gotten medical treatment and some medicine."

I frowned and reached out to wrap my arm around Hendrix. His hand was injured, so it didn't affect his walking but I needed to hold him.

As we entered the hotel, Irvin came out of the restaurant. When he saw Hendrix's injury, he frowned slightly then looked at me, "let's have a meal together next time."

Then, he turned around and left.

Hendrix looked sideways at me, his dark eyes searching mine. "Did you eat with him just now?"

"Just as we ordered the dishes, Austin called and told me that you were hurt."

He looked sullen and his eyes were a little cold. "So I disturbed your appointment?"

His words were full of jealousy. I frowned and shook my head. "You're thinking too much. It was just a meal."

"How do you know that I'm thinking too much?" He seemed a little angry.

I pressed the elevator button and thought that if we continued to talk like this, we would end up fighting in the end. So I changed the subject, "You haven't had dinner yet, have you? What do you want to eat? Let's order room service."

The elevator door opened and we walked in together, my arm still around his waist. He responded lightly, "Whatever you like!" Then he stopped talking.

Was he was in a bad mood because of Irvin? I knew that there were always bodyguards following me, so he must have known about Irvin hanging around. After all, I had been with Irvin all day long, so it was understandable for him to be possessive.

Thinking of this, I was not angry. I would be in a bad mood too if I were him. When we reached the room I gentled my tone, "Did the doctor say anything about changing the dressing? Did he prescribe other medications in the hospital?"

He shook his head. "No!"

I noticed that he really didn't have any other medication on him and breathed a sigh of relief. The wound wasn't too serious then. After thinking about it, I called the hotel restaurant and ordered some food to be sent to the room.

I saw that he was going to the bathroom so I asked, "Do you want to take a shower?" His hand was injured, so he might need help.

He narrowed his dark eyes at me. "I have to pee!"

Embarrassment colored my cheeks and I shut up. But then I thought that it might not be convenient for him with his injury so I asked timidly, "Can you do it on your own?"

He raised his eyebrows and looked at me. "Why don't you help me?"

I gasped. I thought that he would say yes and reject my offer. I blushed harder and hesitated slightly.

"What's wrong?" His low voice filled my senses as

he waited.

Why was I hesitating? After all, he was my husband. We've been living together for so many years, and there would be countless years together in the future. He would get sick, and so would I. Taking care of each other is inevitable. No matter how awkward it was, we were husband and wife. What was more, he was my patient right now.
