Probably because he saw that I was in a good mood, he raised his eyebrows and leaned in to kiss me. After that, he could only lie down and sleep because of his injured hand.

I was likewise tired. I couldn't keep my eyes open either and went to sleep.

Because of his injury, Hendrix found many tasks very inconvenient. Before I slept, I had planned to get up early to help him. But when I woke up the next day, he was already not in bed, and I heard some noise coming from the bathroom.

I quickly got up to check. He was struggling with a towel. From his intense frown and furrowed brows, I could tell he was extremely annoyed.

I swallowed my laughter and walked over to him. I took the towel from his hand, and chided, "I've told you, don't touch these when you're injured. Just call me if you need anything."

When he saw me, his brows relaxed slightly, "Did I wake you up?"

"No!" I shook out the towel and raised it to wipe his face. "I normally wake up at this time. Besides, my husband is injured. I have to get up early to

take care of him."

He leaned back against the sink, his head angled slightly for me to help him. He enjoyed my service and asked, "Are you going to take care of me today?"

I nodded and declared, "Of course!" I paused, "But if you want to go into the city, I can't go with you. I still have work to do in Lancille Village."

He nodded and said in a steady voice, "I won't go anywhere. I'll stay here!"

I nodded and finished helping him clean up. After a quick wash myself, I went back to my room to change my clothes. Since the weather was fair outside, and I didn't have much hands-on work to do, I put on a dress.

The hemline of my dress brushed my knees. Since I rarely exposed them to the sun, my limbs were fair. In addition, I seemed to have lost some weight recently, which made my legs look fair and straight. I had to admit I found them quite pleasing to the eye.

Being in a dress made me feel girly and I gave in to the urge to put on some light make-up, completing the feminine look. Hendrix came out of the bathroom and saw that I had changed into a dress. His eyes reached my legs and he frowned slightly.

I ignored his attention and carried on with my toilette. I saw that he changed into a straight suit that highlighted his physique. He looked dashingly handsome. I said, "Let's go to have breakfast first!"

He nodded. I picked up my bag and changed my shoes at the entrance. When I looked up and saw him frowning, I couldn't help asking, "What's wrong?"

He pursed his lips. "Nothing!"

We went to the hotel restaurant. It the relatively early with few people around so we managed to find a table by the window that opened to a whole view of Lancille Village.

The weather was beautiful and added to the atmosphere. The meticulous landscape and aesthetic pools were framed with brilliant blue skies filled with fluffy white clouds. There were no high-rise buildings to spoil the peaceful picture.

Just looking out the window can lift up anyone's mood. After I ordered breakfast, I cupped my chin and enjoyed the beautiful scenery outside the window.

When I felt Hendrix's stare, I asked quickly, thinking he needed help with something, "What do you need? I'll get it for you."

He shook his head and muttered, "Don't wear

dresses in the future!"

I frowned, and before I could say another word or have another thought, he had already draped his coat over my legs.

That was when I noticed that we were being looked at by the other guests. I felt a little confused. What was wrong?
