My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 1195
Hendrix nodded, stood up obediently and stretched out his hand to hold mine.
Aaron said in a displeased tone, "Hey, I called you here to have a meal with me, but why are you already leaving after just taking a few bites?"
"We still have a child at home, so we need to go home to take care of her!" Hendrix said with a smile on his handsome face.
Aaron looked at me and then at Hendrix. Then he shut his mouth, waved his hand to me impatiently and said, "Alright, alright. You two can just go home. Stop acting all lovey-dovey here."
After we walked out of Sunset Restaurant, I asked Hendrix to give me the keys and made him sit in the front passenger seat. He probably drank a little too much since he closed his eyes to rest as soon as he got into the car.
I started the car and couldn't help but want to find some time to visit Yana. I needed to know how she was doing. I believed she must have been utterly disappointed over the past few years, which was why she finally made up her mind to leave Aaron.
At the traffic lights intersection, Hendrix, who was
resting with his eyes closed, suddenly opened his eyes, looked at me and said, "You've taken the wrong road!"
I was stunned and looked at him, perplexed. Then I said, "It's not wrong. This is the right way home!"
He suddenly turned to look at me and said, "Were you going back to the Moore Family?"
It was only a moment later that I suddenly remembered that I had agreed to return to his place back at noon. I paused for a while before continuing, "We have to go and pick Anne up. Isn't she still at my parents' place?"
He raised his eyebrows and said, "Let Anne stay at the Moore Family first. I have a lot of things to do in the company these days. Can we spend some time together?"
The last sentence was obviously an inquiry.
I nodded in agreement. When the traffic light turned green, I changed lanes and headed towards Hendrix's villa.
I hadn't set foot in that familiar villa for a long time. After getting out of the car, I helped Hendrix back to the room. I unlocked the door with my fingerprints and password. Hendrix was slumped on me as I supported him into the villa. It took a strenuous effort to drag him into the bedroom and dump him on the bed. Unexpectedly, he rolled over lightly and pressed me down on the bed. Then, he looked at me in a daze and asked, "Where are you going?"
I pursed my lips, feeling a little helpless. "We're home. You lie down first. I'll go and get you a glass of honey water."
After saying that, I was preparing to get up from the bed as I didn't want to be pinned down by him. He looked at me impishly and said. "I don't want to drink it. Keep me company!"
I really wanted to curse him out. It was okay for Aaron to get drunk by himself, but he even got Hendrix drunk this time. I looked at him and said, "Okay, I'll keep you company later. But you should have a glass of honey water first, or you'll feel sick later, okay?"
He looked at me with intoxicated eyes and frowned slightly. After a while, he nodded and replied, "Okay!"
Although he said yes, he didn't loosen his grip on me at all. I tried to break free from his grip a few times, but to no avail. I couldn't help sighing and said, "Hendrix, how are we going to sleep tonight if you are behaving like this?"
Fortunately, some rational part of his mind seemed to understand what I was saying. He let go of me and I got up from the bed.
I poured a glass of honey water for him and helped him drink it. After drinking, he lay on the bed with his eyes closed. I didn't know if he was asleep or not. Realizing that it was getting late, I gave the Moore Family home a call.
After the phone rang a few times, it connected. It was Valerie who answered my call. From her tone, she sounded a little anxious. "Arianna, are you guys on the way back? Anne is having a slight fever. I was just about to call you!"
