I could hear Pedro's surprise through the line. Then, he asked gently, "Arianna, have you eaten yet? Will you be conning back tonight?"

I smiled and said, "I've just finished cooking. I'll be staying at Hendrix's place tonight. Have you all eaten yet? Is Anne feeling better today?"

"Yes," he replied. "She is okay now. It shouldn't be a big problem since her fever has subsided. Your mom and auntie are making dinner in the kitchen now. We'll have our dinner soon. How are things in the Roberts Group?"

I chatted with him for a while more before hanging up.

I was just about to have dinner after hanging up the phone when Sebastian called. I answered the call. "Hello, Mr. Milton!" I naturally addressed him this way, a habit from work.

Sebastian sighed when he heard this. "We're off the clock now. You can just call me by my name. Naomi told me that you were in Jarold City. Do you have time tomorrow? Let's have dinner together."

I agreed without a second thought when I remembered the promise I made in Europe. "Okay, send me the time and place. I just so happen to be free tomorrow," I said.

He gave me the details and that was it.

After hanging up the phone, Hendrix looked at me with dark bottomless eyes and asked, "Sebastian?"

I nodded. "When I was in Europe, I promised him that I would give him the sandalwood box my grandmother gave me after we got back home safely. He must be curious about that box."

He frowned slightly and said after a moment of silence, "Have you ever thought about why your grandmother has that box?"

I nodded and replied, "Yes, I did. But I can't figure it out."

He looked at me deeply, "this encounter between you and Sebastian is not a coincidence. Arianna, don't forget to keep an eye on everything."

I was a little baffled, but I also thought that his request made sense. So I simply nodded and agreed.

Fortunately, he did not continue pursuing the matter.

On Lincoln Street.

At the Frosty Restaurant.

I arrived at the restaurant based on the address that Sebastian had given me and followed the waiter to where our table was. It was already late autumn in Jarold City. Sebastian wore a casual outfit today. His hair was neatly combed, and his caramel-colored coat was placed next to him. At a glance, he looked like a particularly handsome Asian man.

The heater was on in the restaurant so I took my coat off too. I greeted him and asked, "Have you been back to Jarold City for long?"

He nodded and looked at me with a faint smile. "I planned to ask you out a few days ago, but I thought you might be busy after all that's happened in the company. So, I decided to wait for a few more days." I smiled. The news about what happened in the Roberts Groups had more or less spread throughout the entire Jarold City. Anyone in this industry would know about it, so it was not surprising that Sebastian knew about it as well.

He waved a waiter over and asked them to serve the orders while we chatted about trivial things. After the meal was served, he looked at me and said, "It seems that it'll be impossible for us to complete the project in Lancille Village for a while. Do you plan to stay in Jarold City or return to Asherton?"

I shrugged and replied honestly, "I haven't decided yet. I'll decide after I go back." I thought of Naomi, and couldn't help but look at him. "I thought you would bring Naomi with you when you came back this time!"

He smiled and didn't answer. Instead, he said, "Don't tell me that you didn't bring the box here today?"
