Seeing Kaleb there wasn't much of a surprise.

At the table, Hendrix and Kaleb each held a card. Rather than a casual game, it seemed as if they were in the midst of a negotiation. Everyone in the room turned to look at me when I entered the room.

Hendrix was stunned for a moment before he walked over to me and asked, "Why are you here?" As he spoke, he glanced at Tobias. Tobias shrugged and said, "I can't afford to offend you!" Kaleb looked at me with his eyes narrowed slightly. There was confusion in his eyes. It seemed like he no longer remembered who I was. Not surprising considering he had defiled many girls. I was just one of the many girls he had captured. What made me special was probably that I had escaped from him and I was lucky not to be harmed by him.

He looked at Hendrix and I, and his eyes lit up, as if he suddenly remembered something. "It's you!" he looked at me and said.

I gave him a smile. "Mr. Kaleb, long time no see!"

He squinted at Hendrix and let out a chuckle. I didn't understand what he meant.

"Bringing a woman in - what are you planning to do, Mr. Hayes?" Kaleb asked with a hint of dissatisfaction.

Tobias didn't react. He looked at Hendrix and said, "Mr. Roberts, it's getting late. I think Mrs. Roberts is tired too. You guys should go back and get some rest!"

"Tobias, are you kidding me?" Enraged, Kaleb threw the cards in his hand.

Tobias didn't look at him. He continued to say to Hendrix, "You guys are going to Hayes Mansion to visit Grandfather tomorrow. It's better to not stay up too late." It was obvious that he was urging Hendrix. Having been ignored several times, Kaleb was livid. He pulled out the pistol from his waist, pointed it at Tobias, and roared, "Hayes! Are you shotting on me?"

As soon as I saw the pitch- black weapon, I unconsciously tensed up. Hendrix stood in front of me, shielding me, and looked at the scene calmly. Tobias seemed to be used to it. His gaze fixed on Kaleb as he said, "If you fire, I'm afraid you won't be able to leave Goldie Casino tonight."

Goldie Casino was the casino's name.

Anger was written all over Kaleb's face. It was obvious that he was trying hard to hold back his anger.

After a long time, he slowly put away the gun in his hand. Suddenly, he gave Hendrix a smile. "Mr. Roberts, there will be plenty of time in the future. We have ample time. Please leave!"

Hendrix watched calmly from the beginning to the end. He nodded with an expressionless face, and said, "There's always time to drink. As for other things, just like I've said before, I won't do anything that is harmful and unreasonable!"

After that, Hendrix took my hand and walked straight out of the room. Along the way, as I followed him, my mind was full of doubts and questions, but I did not say a word.

On the first floor, the atmosphere was as lively as ever. Hendrix and I passed through the noisy crowd and went out of the casino. The person Pedro sent to pick us up was outside the door. When he saw us coming out safely, he greeted us and left.

I got in the car with Hendrix. He started the engine of the car. However, a group of people suddenly and blocked our way out of the casino.

Turns out it was not our car that they were intending to block, A few brawny men dragged a man out of the casino and began to beat him up.
