My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 1247
After everything was settled, the sky was already dark. Autumn in Oakland was not very cold, but there was a cool sea breeze. To express gratitude, Yulia took me to her place, saying that she wanted to cook some delicious food for me.
Tobias's villa was very big. Each room was equipped with a kitchen and tableware. I followed Yulia to her place, and was dumbfounded by how refined and elegant the place was.
She was living in the second room on the first floor of the villa. The room was very elegant. Many famous paintings were hanging on the walls of the living room, all of which were collection-level paintings. "Wait here. I'll be done soon!" She told me to wait in the living room, before she headed into the kitchen.
I was surprised by the priceless paintings and collections in the living room. An expensive piano was placed in the hall. The piano cover was folded neatly and put aside. It looked like she played the piano often.
She was such a gentle and elegant woman. It didn't seem like she was hired by Tobias to take care of the yard, but more like a relative of his. However, I was still not sure who she was to Tobias.
The smell of food came from the kitchen. I turned around and saw Yulia holding a spatula. The light of the setting sun on her face, along with the wispy smoke emerging from the pot, formed a beautiful and tranquil sight. I couldn't help but get distracted by her beauty.
It turned out that a woman's beauty was the most noticeable at such a time.
Yulia probably noticed my gaze on her. She smiled at me and walked back into the kitchen. "Your staring is making me feel a little uncomfortable."
I smiled apologetically. I followed her into the kitchen, looked at her and said, "I'm sorry. Just now, when I looked at you, you were so beautiful, that's why I got distracted."
She smiled. "For some reason, I feel very happy to get a compliment from such a charming girl like you."
She put a plate of spicy shrimps in front of me and asked with a smile, "Try it?"
In the face of delicious food, I couldn't say no. I reached out and took one. I was already drooling just by smelling it. The taste was really enticing.
She signaled me to bring the plate to the table, and resumed her cooking.
It wasn't hard to be healed when together with beautiful people. Her company cured my anxiety and frustration. Perhaps, she could also cure the wounds I had buried overtime.
Tobias's appearance was abrupt. When I noticed him, he was leaning against the door in casual clothing, and was staring at me with his dark eyes. He seemed to be thinking about something.
I broke out in a cold sweat when I saw him appear out of nowhere. Before I could speak, I heard Yulia's voice coming from behind me. "Tobias, you're here. That's great. Let's have dinner together!" Tobias looked at me. He then walked up to me, expressionless. "Who permitted you to run around in my house? Who gave you the guts?" he said coldly.
As he spoke, he dragged me out of the hall. Yulia was screaming for him to stop, but Tobias didn't seem to hear a word.
He forcefully dragged me to the living room of the villa. I struggled to free myself from his grip. "Tobias, are you out of your mind?" I said angrily.
He looked at me. His eyes were filled with inexplicable anger. "If you run around like this in my house again, then you will need to get out."
