Sheridan could not stay silent for a moment longer. He looked at me and said, "Miss Reid, spare his life!"

I looked at the man, who was clutching his hand in a daze and said coldly, "It's just a finger. It's nothing more than a piece of appetizer. What are you afraid of? His hands are still intact!" No one spoke for a moment.

Clenching the knife in my hand, I narrowed my eyes at him and said, "The dead man is not my husband at all. It seems that you don't want your hands anymore."

I pursed my lips, looked at him and said, "At first, I did want Mr. Lawson to check all the people. But the question you asked just now made me realize that Sebastian is probably the mastermind behind this incident and Kaleb is nothing more than an errand boy!"

Tobias narrowed his eyes, and prompted me to go on, "Oh?"

I explained, "From what he told you, they had just arrived from the mainland the day before yesterday, which means that these people came with Sebastian. Moreover, we can confirm that these are Sebastian's subordinates. Kaleb is in a terrible situation now and there are not many people he can use. Hence, there is no one else except Sebastian.
