Looking at her, I couldn't help saying, "I remember you've been trying to get in touch with me a while back. Do you have something to say to me?"

She looked at me. Her eyes were dark and full of childlike innocence. She seemed like she wanted to tell me something, but hesitated. Seeing this, I said to her, "It's fine if you don't feel comfortable saying it. If you need my help in the future, you can tell me. I don't know why you came to me even though you didn't seem fond of me at first, but I think you have your own reasons."

She stared at me in a daze and looked like she wanted to say something, but didn't know how. After a while, she lowered her head and kept quiet.

One shouldn't expect to get any information from a mentally ill person. I didn't force her. I just continued gazing at the night sky outside the window. Everyone in the world had their own struggles. "Sebastian is not a good person. He's scarier than the devil!" Wendy's trembling voice came to my ears.

I looked at her and saw that her face was pale and her hands were tightly clenched together. This was a sign of inner struggle. Her hands were red and swollen from being held too tight.

I stretched out my hand to help her loosen her grip, but she dodged aside vigilantly. She looked at me, seemingly at a loss, "I'm sorry, I..."

I nodded and kept a distance from her. I looked at her and said, "Don't be nervous. I won't ask you anything. I won't force you to say anything. Just tell me whenever you want. It's alright." She bit her bottom lip hard and her eyes became a little red.

Sebastian and Naomi came over. Wendy suddenly stood up and ran straight into the bedroom. Naomi was stunned. She looked at me and was a little confused, "What happened to her?"

I looked at Sebastian. As usual, this man acted like a gentleman. I pursed my lips and said, "She's not feeling well. She went back to the room to rest."

Naomi nodded and muttered under her breath, "I was wondering why she seemed odd today. Could it be that she isn't used to the weather in Jarold City?"

I nodded, "I think so. Keep a look out for her at night."

She simply agreed and walked to Wendy's bedroom to check on her.

Sebastian looked at me with a gentle smile on his face, "You look like you don't want to see me."

I pursed my lips and said in a soft tone, "If you don't have feelings for Naomi, make it clear to her. Don't hurt her!" There were too many hypocritical aspects about this man. I couldn't figure out which side was his true self.

He sat down on a sofa on the balcony and said lazily, "I thought that you are most concerned about your daughter's condition. I didn't expect you to still care about Naomi at a time like this. But oh well, I guess since she isn't your biological daughter, you don't care much about her life."

I pursed my lips and suppressed my anger, "If I were you, I would shut up now."

He smiled, "You know, I've been talking about this a lot. If you want to, I don't mind having an affair with you. As long as you agree, I'll come clean with Naomi and have her return to Asherton. I promise that Hendrix won't find out either. What do you think? Isn't this exciting?"

The man was repulsive. I resisted the urge to vomit and stared at him coldly, "Do you know how disgusting you are?"

He did not care about my malice and smiled faintly, "I enjoy it."
