My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 1345
Hendrix sat down beside me and took out a bottle of medicine from the drawer. He handed it to me and said, "Perhaps the little guy is worried about you and he doesn't want you to be tired, so he decided to behave himself. Or maybe it's a girl."
I leaned my head on his shoulder and frowned at the medicine bottle in his hand, "Why have you been taking Vitamin A recently? What's the use of it?"
He showed me the bottle and said, "Well, it's known to improve sperm quality."
I was at a loss for words.
His ability to talk nonsense was really unparalleled.
I rolled my eyes at him and went to wash up. After having breakfast, I changed my clothes. When I saw him calling someone on the phone in the living room, I walked over and patted him on the shoulder, "Let's go. I'm ready!"
He looked at me from head to toe. Then, he took me back to the dressing room and found a thick grey overcoat. He handed it to me and said, "Here, put this on."
I shook my head and frowned, "This is too thick.
It's not even midwinter yet. If there's a need to wear this now, guess I'll be stuck at home this winter."
He didn't give me any chance to comment and put it on for me, "It's easy to catch a cold in winter and your immunity is low now, so we shouldn't risk it. You should take care of yourself more."
Since I couldn't defeat him, I gave in. We went down the stairs together. I said, "By the way, I forgot to tell you that Yana found someone and is ready to get married."
He nodded in acknowledgment. We arrived at the garage and he opened the car door, "Does Aaron know?"
I shook my head, "I'm not sure, but I'm quite supportive of Yana. A woman's youth is limited to only a few years. She gave all of them to Aaron and in the end, she got nothing in return. It's time to let go."
He looked at me and helped me put on the seat belt. I didn't like the smell in the car, but it would be cold if I opened the window, so I lowered my head and tried to find some perfume.
"I thought you would be on your brother's side!" He commented.
I snorted, "I've told him to cherish the people around him and not to push them away, but he still
did. Why would I still be on his side?"
I couldn't find my perfume, so I sighed. I made a mental note to buy a bottle of perfume and keep it in the car.
Seeing my frown, Hendrix started the car and asked, "What's wrong?"
"There's a weird smell in your car. I don't like it." I noticed the roses in the back seat and frowned. It wasn't the usual fragrance of flowers. It seemed to be mixed with the scent of female perfume. He noticed it as well and a frown appeared on his face, "I'll have to buy the flowers myself in the future."
I looked at him with my head tilted, "So, who did you buy it for?"
He raised his eyebrows, "I bought it for you."
I pursed my lips and said no more. He drove us to the hospital. Anne had already undergone chemotherapy several times. Because of the pain, she was reluctant to go through another session. So when the doctor asked her to go to the operating room, she started crying.
When Josiah arrived, two men were by his side. It had almost been a year since I last saw him. He was dressed in a light blue robe and his hair was now a lot shorter than before. His skin tone was much darker, but there was a hint of determination in his eyes. When he saw us, his gaze fell on Anne's thin frame and his eyes feared up.
