Estella exclaimed, "Okay, Madam. I'll bring it to you right now."

Looking at her lively appearance, I was stunned for a moment. Then I smiled, "What a lively girl! That's great!"

Hendrix led me into the elevator and asked, "Want to eat some sushi?"

Now that he mentioned it, I started to crave sushi, yet I already told Estella anything was fine. It seemed impolite of me to ask again.

Seeing Hendrix reach out to grab his phone, I thought he was going to call Estella, so I said quickly, "It's fine, well have it for dinner when you finish your work tonight. There's no need to trouble her." He raised his eyebrows and said, "I'm calling Evan about Oakland."

I was flustered. My cheeks turned red and warm. It seemed that I was overthinking.

Seeing me lower my head in embarrassment, he couldn't help but smile.

After entering the office, Hendrix began to deal with the company's affairs. I didn't have anything to do, so I just sat on the sofa playing on my phone.

Sebastian's message popped up all of a sudden, "I miss you." I almost threw my phone away. I tried to suppress the disgust in my heart and replied with a question mark.

He replied almost instantly, "What do you think Hendrix will do if he finds out that I like you?"

I typed the words in disgust, "He'll kill you without hesitation."

He replied with "LOL1, and then he said, "This game is getting increasingly interesting. I can help your daughter find a kidney donor. As long as you ask for it, your daughter can have surgery immediately." I didn't know where his confidence came from, so I was a little angry, "Quit being disgusting!"

Whether he had a suitable kidney donor or not, I didn't want to have any contact with this man anymore.

The door of the office was opened and Estella came in carrying a takeout bag. With an energetic smile on her face, she said, "Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Roberts, I've bought lunch. You must be starving."

I put away my phone, got up, took the bag containing our lunch and thanked her with a smile. My eyes inadvertently fell on the watch on her wrist and I paused slightly.

"Madam, you are too polite. This is part of my job." With that, she was about to leave.

I hesitated for a moment before saying, "Your watch is so beautiful. It complements your skin quite well."

She was stunned for a moment before she said with a smile, "It's pretty nice. This watch is not very expensive and is suitable for work."

I agreed, "It suits you very well."

She smiled and went out.

With the bag in my hand, my mind wandered.

"What's on your mind?" Hendrix walked up to me, took the bag in my hand and brought me over to the sofa.

Seeing him take out all the meal boxes in the bag, which included the sushi I liked, I was stunned. Then, I looked at him and said, "Did you tell her just now?"

He smiled faintly, "Since you like sushi, I thought why not satisfy your needs?"

I pursed my lips and looked at him. "Hendrix, when you asked me to look at the promotion list that one time, Estella wasn't qualified. Why did you promote her to become your secretary out of the blue?"

He shoved a piece of sushi into my mouth and said with a smile, "It was Vincent. He asked me to promote Estella. Her salary is the same as a front desk receptionist, but the position is different. After she was discharged from the hospital last time, she started acting strangely. She somehow thought that she was the secretary, not the receptionist anymore. Many problems had arisen because of this."
