My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 1359
Ethan nodded. He looked at her and said, "If we intend to follow the traditions, you should come home with me tomorrow!"
Yana was stunned, "To talk to your parents?"
Ethan nodded slightly and said, "Actually, my mother has already prepared a wedding dress for you. She used to be an embroiderer in the olden days. She had been weaving a wedding dress for my future wife, ever since I was young. She had already prepared the wedding dress, but I wasn't sure of your size. Let's go back tomorrow and measure your size, then we can alter it!"
Looking at Ethan's boyish expression, Yana couldn't help but hug him, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I didn't even know. If I had known, we wouldn't have come here to try on the wedding dress. We almost wasted your mother's efforts."
Ethan said straightforwardly, "My mom insisted that since you prefer a modern wedding, everything should be done according to your preferences. She was planning to give the wedding dress she made to us as a gift."
Yana patted his chest delicately. Her eyes were red as she was touched. She said, "I nearly let her down. She made the wedding dress herself. I already have such a beautiful dress, what are we even doing in here?"
Looking at them, I felt that I needed to give them some space. I was about to head out of the store to do so, but when I turned around and saw Aaron watching us from a distance, my breath caught in my throat. He had her, but he lost her in the end. That must be the worst feeling a human could ever experience.
I looked at the two of them and said, "Okay, you lovebirds. I'll wait for you outside."
Yana and Ethan smiled at each other.
I walked to Aaron's side. He slid both hands into his pockets as if nothing had happened. Looking at Eunice who had just changed into her wedding dress, he responded to her questions almost emotionlessly. Catching sight of me, Eunice lifted the train of her wedding dress, "Miss Reid, is this dress suitable for me? I've already tried on two dresses, but Aaron didn't like them. I don't know which to pick." I glanced at her and said, "You look fine!"
She paused for a moment, probably realizing that I wasn't even paying attention at all. She said awkwardly, "Thank you!"
Aaron seemed to be impatient. He frowned at her.
"Something came up. You can continue trying on the dresses. I have to leave first." Then he looked at me and asked, "Do you need me to send you home?"
I shook my head. This man didn't even bother pretending. He came up with an excuse to leave, but then proceeded to ask me if I needed a lift. Was he afraid that Eunice wouldn't notice his impatience towards her?
When he saw that I didn't need his help, he immediately took the car keys and left. Eunice still wanted to say something and ran after him while lifting the hem of her skirt. However, as the wedding dress was difficult to walk in, she couldn't catch up at all.
I looked at her and couldn't help saying, "You don't have to put yourself in such an awkward position. If you want money, you can ask for it. No matter how much you want, the Reid family will give it to you as long as it is reasonable. You don't have to pester him!"
It was pathetic. I felt a sense of deja vu from watching this scene. Many years ago, Valerie told me the same words. She had used the money to force a woman to leave for Andrea's sake. After thinking about it carefully, it seemed that I had become the person whom I disliked the most.
She lifted the hem of her dress and looked back at me. There was a mocking smile on her lips, but her eyes were rimmed with tears. "You think you're so noble, you assume I'm staying with him just for money, right?"
