She curled her lips, "Sebastian asked me to come over and look after you since you are pregnant. You are also aware that I am not a meticulous person, thus I don't really know your taste buds. As such, I went and asked him what you like to eat and he told me to bring along some durians when I come over."

I was taken aback and looked at her, "Did Sebastian not come to Asherton with you?"

She pursed her lips, "He said he did, but when I went next door to check just now, the place was still empty. I am also not sure where he went. Is he really that busy recently? What is going on with him?" Since Naomi didn't know much, I didn't question her further. I taught Abby how to wash up and I also went to freshen up myself. I sat at the dining table and munched down my breakfast. Naomi, perhaps feeling bored, asked me, "Are you free later? If you're not busy, let's go shopping together."

I shook my head and said, "I have to go to the hospital later. My parents have brought Anne here. Currently, she is getting ready for her surgery and there's a ton of preparations I have to do. I'm afraid I don't have the spare time for shopping."

"I see," she answered with some disappointment. "Then, you should go and take care of whatever you need to. By the way, have you seen Wendy recently? I called her a few times, but she ignored me. What happened to her?"

I shook my head and didn't say much. Naomi was different from me. She was accustomed to living a comfortable life and she didn't encounter much difficulties. She didn't have much to worry about in life. Perhaps it was better to keep her in the dark and not burden her with the various struggles that other people were facing.

Since she had nothing to do, she simply followed me to the hospital. Anne's surgery was right around the corner and this operation had to proceed, even if it meant that I'd feel guilty for Abby for the rest of my life.

Knowing that Abby's surgery could be performed legally now, Valerie and Pedro were overjoyed. After discussing with the hospital, the surgery was set to be carried out a week later. Because Abby's body was too weak, the doctor instructed her to take good care of herself. Valerie saw that I was exhausted, so she decided to hire a nanny to look after Abby.

I was relieved that they could help look after the

children for me.

Naomi suddenly called In the middle of the night. It was particularly noisy on the other end of the line, as if she was in a nightclub. The background noise was deafening. This girl usually liked to go clubbing, thus it was normal for her to be at a place like this. But because of her temper, no one dared to lay their hands on her. Why was today an exception?

When I arrived at the Emperor Club, Naomi was lying in the lobby with several waiters standing beside her. It seemed that someone deliberately asked them to watch over her.
