As I spoke, I raised my hand to touch the corner of his eyes with my finger. There were wrinkles at the corner of his eyes when he smiled.

"What did you just say?" he spoke. He raised his hand to pull up the partition between the driver and the back seat as he spoke. He cupped my face with both his hands. His eyes were dark and his voice was low and sultry.

I was stunned and asked, "What do you mean?"

He put his lips on the corner of my mouth and asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "My wife, what did you just call me?"

My face turned bright red when I heard those words coming out of his mouth. Those simple words somehow became very ambiguous and sensual when he put it that way. I couldn't help but shiver upon hearing his tone and goosebumps appeared on my skin.

He pulled me into his warm embrace. I could smell the clean scent of his shower gel wafting off his skin. As he was about lower his head to kiss me, I paused and turned my head slightly, avoiding him. I said, "Hendrix, don't do that. Evan is driving in the

front."

He wrapped his strong arms around me and propped his chin on my shoulder. He replied, his voice still hoarse, "Alright, but call me that again."

After a moment of hesitation, I opened my mouth and said slowly, "Hubby!"

Instead of letting me go, he pulled my body closer to him and ordered, "Say that again!"

I was speechless, but I still called him the nickname again. However, like a child not getting enough of his favorite candy, he kept asking me to do it over and over again.

I was a little tired after being teased by him the whole drive home. I leaned on his shoulder and asked, "Hendrix, why did you suddenly propose to me? Why did you get such a huge diamond ring? It's too flashy."

He reached out to touch my ring and answered with a faint smile, "Austin told me that girls love diamond rings, the bigger the better. I asked him to get this pink stone, specially imported from abroad. I didn't know what kind of style you liked, but I still wanted to surprise you, so I handed it over to a jeweller to design it. Don't you like it?"

Admiring the ring on my finger, I smiled and replied, "I love it, but it's very flashy and extravagant. I don't want to look like I'm showing

off when I wear it out."

He smiled and said, "As long as you like it, you don't have to worry about anyone else's opinions."

The car stopped outside the villa. After a busy day, I was exhausted. I lay in Hendrix's arms and didn't want to get up. He scooped me up and carried me off the car, at the same time giving Evan orders about matters to settle in Oakland. Then, he took me into the house.

As soon as we stepped into the foyer, I was pressed up against the wall. I didn't know what was going on, so I put my hand against him and said, "Hendrix, you..."

"It's been a while since we've had some fun." he said, breathing heavily.

For a moment, I couldn't find any words to counter him, so he took advantage of the moment to press his lips onto mine. He scooped me up again and brought me into the living room, all the while kissing me passionately. I could faintly smell the stench of alcohol. I couldn't help but ask, "Hendrix, did you drink today?"

He was kissing me fervently and he replied in a slurred voice, "No, I was with you. I know you don't like it when I drink, so I didn't. I'm a good boy."

After finishing his sentence, he put me down on the couch and trailing sensual kisses all over my body. The stench of alcohol still lingered.

I had a vague feeling that something wasn't right. I asked again, "Hendrix, can't you smell the alcohol? It's very strong, is the cellar broken?"

Hendrix didn't even lift his head. "It can't be!"

I raised my hand to push him away and said again, "I smell alcohol. You need to get up and check it out..."
