I shrugged. "That's why I said you are different from Hendrix. He never boasts about how much he loves me, but he shows his love through his actions. It's my blessing that I got to be his wife."

Tobias mumbled as he ate his noodles, "If you were my wife, I would do the same!"

I frowned and stared at him. "What did you say?"

He stuffed a mouthful of pasta into his mouth and glanced at me. "I said the pasta is really delicious.

I want to eat this for dinner as well."

I rolled my eyes at him. I didn't have much of an appetite, thus I just ate a few bites and went to the fridge looking for yogurt. Just then, Hendrix's call came. He informed me that the housekeeper he arranged had arrived.

I went to greet the housekeeper and show her in as Tobias continued to eat his pasta.

The new housekeeper was a middle-aged woman in her forties. She seemed like a very plain person. After greeting me, she introduced herself as Nadia and I explained the general situation to her. After that, she started tidying the house.

After Tobias finished his pasta, perhaps because he was still hungry, he emptied my plate as well. I

was taken aback. He looked at me and said, "The portion was too little. You have to cook more tonight."

I didn't know what to answer him, so I just nodded and agreed.

I had nothing left to do in the afternoon, so I didn't go back to the office. To my surprise, Sebastian took the initiative to call me and asked me to meet him in person.

I pursed my lips and said to him over the phone, "I don't see the point for us to meet in person, Mr. Milton. I don't have the thing that you are searching for."

His low and deep laughter echoed from the other end. "You are overcomplicating things. I just want to invite you over for a meal. Naomi is currently in Jarold City. Weren't you guys good friends before? Since she is also here, why don't you guys have a meal together?"

I found his words suspicious, so I frowned and replied, "I'll catch up with her some other time. I'm not going to interrupt your meal with her."

"Arianna, I heard that you have rented a house for Eason's parents. I have invited them over for a meal. They said that they wish to treat you to a meal as a token of their gratitude. If you reject their offer, they are going to be crushed."

My heart skipped a beat. Did Sebastian reach out to Sonia's parents? Could it be that Eason had stirred up trouble with Sebastian?

"Sebastian, they are old people. What are you trying to do?" I was unclear as to how far Sebastian was willing to go.

"I am not trying to do anything. It's just that I have had quite a lot of free time on my hands recently. I just want to catch up. Would you care to join us, Arianna? Do you want to drive over by yourself or would you like me to fetch you?"

I suppressed the rage in my heart and after a moment of silence, "Give me the address!"

His laughter rang from the other end. "Arianna, you are such an adorable girl. That's what I like about you!"

I pursed my lips and hung up the phone. Then, I called Hendrix immediately.

The call went through in a moment and his voice rang out, "Arianna, what's wrong?"

"Sebastian called me. He seemed to have tracked down Sonia's parents. Naomi is also currently in Jarold City. I'm not sure what he is planning but I've already agreed to have a meal with him. How are things looking at your side?"

At the other end, Hendrix took a deep breath and said, "Bobbie has found out that his daughter is being mistreated and he is not happy about it He is still in a dilemma. It also seems like Kaleb has been drugged by someone. When I met up with him, he was already partially unconscious and he couldn't even speak!"
