If Dr. Jules had not reminded me of this, I would have probably continued to consume the medicine Nerissa had brought back at the same time. Thinking of this, I started to trust Dr. Jules more.

After taking a look at the two of us, Dr. Jules probably felt that my mental state was not that good. He said, "You don't have to be too nervous. With modern medical technology, having a thin endometrium is not incurable. With proper medication, the probability of recovery is still very high."

I finally let out a smile and said, "Dr. Jules, thank you."

Dr. Jules chuckled. He put his hands on the table with a friendly smile. He seemed like a kind senior whom we had known for decades. He said, "Don't thank me first. It's never easy to prepare for pregnancy. We'll meet every day after this. The treatment and preparation for fertilization will be really tiring. I'm just afraid that you'll be sick of me soon."

I laughed and replied, "Of course not, Dr. Jules. You're really good at making jokes."

"This is not a joke," Dr. Jules replied. He looked at Hendrix and said with a smile, "Mr. Roberts will be busy with his business, but it is better to have good scheduling for these two critical months. Take good care of Mrs. Roberts. Conceiving a baby is a matter that should involve both parents. I hope that Mr. Roberts can accompany Mrs. Roberts all the time during the consultations."

I was about to speak up for Hendrix. However, he beat me to it. "Of course," Hendrix said.

This was the second time that I'd looked at him in surprise that day.

It had just been a year, but Hendrix seemed to have changed a lot. He was sitting there silently, and the sense of security in my heart started blossoming.

I didn't interrupt them further. After that, Dr. Jules gave Hendrix some instructions about my diet. Most of them were to avoid spicy food and to eat more light food. There was nothing special. After collecting the medicine, Hendrix fetched me home.

On the way, Hendrix received a phone call. Vaguely, I heard the person at the end of the phone saying "GW Group" and "Come back soon". Then, he hung up the phone.

I had been with the Roberts Group for quite some time, but I didn't remember that this company was one of the partners of Roberts Group. So I asked casually, "Is GW Group the new partner of the Roberts Group?"

"Well, the Roberts Group has a good potential for development in Jarold City. However, in order to reach a monopoly, it needs foreign capital investment. Obviously, GW Group is the most suitable one among the many investment companies on Wall Street. Although the company is quite straightforward, they have some unreasonable requests. I still want to fight for them."

I didn't expect Hendrix to be so detailed. Suddenly, I was at a loss for words. I pursed my lips and nodded. I said, "Well, then you should return to the company early tomorrow."

Holding the steering wheel, Hendrix suddenly laughed and said, "You're becoming forgetful even before getting pregnant. The representative is now in the company. I have to rush there after sending you back."
