Freya's voice instantly dispelled all my tension. I clutched at my forehead, looked at myself in the mirror, and suddenly remembered. Edwin was Freya's driver!

In order to make sure the bodyguards would not defy his orders, Hendrix hired a group of new recruits. Freya could not contact me, and Hendrix sent Anne to her house. "Don't get too excited." Freya was putting me on a rollercoaster when she stopped talking halfway. "Doing Irvin a favor is not important to me. Let me ask you first. After all, you've lost two children, are you still able to tolerate more? Rest well, I'll hang up." Beep...

The sound of the satellite phone being hung up was like the sound of a heart rate monitor at the moment of death. I put the phone near my ear and didn't recover for a long time.

It's not because of Freya's words that made me change my mind. I only felt that people could never seem to share the pain that others felt. I didn't believe that I was the only person in this world who could not turn a blind eye toward my benefactor. But Hendrix and Freya were evidence to me that everyone put their own interests first.
