"Ha..." Hendrix was secretly pleased with this and swiftly pecked me in the ear when I wasn't paying attention. He then loosened his grip and took a step back.

I tidied up my clothes and looked at him indifferently, "Is there a difference? Anyway, your ability to conceal secrets is top notch. Hiding secrets from one more person shouldn't be any trouble for you." Hendrix frowned, "Are you still mad about Josiah?"

I smiled and went to the sink to fix my makeup, "Maybe you ought to take a good look at your friend. He talked about getting a paternity test and was ready to sue me for custody."

Hendrix looked a little helpless when he heard that, he then said, "He already explained that to me. He hadn't expected you to discover him in such a short time. The night after he was exposed, he saw the transfer application and knew that you were trying to stop him from seeing Anne. He got anxious, which is why he used such a foolish method. "Mhm..." Hendrix responded in a deep voice. He rested his entire body on me as though he had fallen asleep. I didn't know if he heard me.

Looking at the two of us hugging each other in the mirror, I suddenly felt uneasy.

Since when did we, who have been together for ten years, have to sneak around for a hug?

Though I sighed emotionally, I'd wasted too much time here. If I didn't head out right now, the others would be suspicious of me. So after tidying up my clothes, I walked out the door. Coincidentally, I ran into Serene and Tyler, who were walking towards me.

My feet paused for a moment. If I had walked over right now, and if Hendrix had come out later, these two would have been smart enough to guess that we'd been together.
