My heart simmered in bitterness. Was it necessary to make things difficult for me and destroy my image in Santiago's heart? Wasn't she giving me an excuse to continue to entangle Hendrix? All in all, Serene was digging her own grave.

The air was silent for a second, and no one answered.

A moment later, Alwin quickly stood up and saluted. "Mr. Shelley, you're right. This one's for you!"

As he spoke, he raised his head and gulped down the wine in the glass in a single shot.

I took a deep breath and looked at him with disgust. If this man hadn't inserted himself into others' business we would not have found ourselves in this embarrassing situation. It was best if he could get drunk in an instant and be carried out of the place as soon as possible.

But after thinking about it, it was not worthwhile to waste Freya's expensive wine on such a person.

Alwin's glass was emptied. He stood

up and walked towards Hendrix

while pouring himself more wine. "Mr. Roberts, I heard that the Roberts Group is bidding for another piece of land recently. Have you considered a partner to share the pressure?"
