When I finished speaking, a tiny hand suddenly grabbed my pinkie. I looked down and met Wynn's black grape-like eyes.

"No need to wait. I'm the one who invited you."

"You invited me?" There was no way I was going to believe this.

The person who invited me had bribed the servant of the Granger family, arranged a car to pick me up and chose to meet at night to avoid Irvin. How could a five-, six-year old kid perform such punctilious arrangements?

Wynn nodded his little head innocently. "Nine o'clock tonight. Golden Roof Restaurant 608', I wrote that."

Hearing what he said, I had to believe it.

His handwriting was impressive, considering his age. With that being said, it was not too strange if his upbringing and family background was taken into consideration. However, I was very curious about how he was able to get so many people to get this done for him.

I turned around, squatted down, grabbed his arms and employed a more sober tone, "Children can't lie. Tell me, do you know the person who invited me?" "Don't you believe me?" Wynn replied calmly, turning and walking to the dining table to pick up the gadget lying on it. After that, he sat down and did something with it. I could tell how focused he was from his expression. If I had not seen it with my very own eyes, I would not have visualized such a mature expression on this little kid's face.

Somehow influenced by his seriousness, I stealthily approached him and watched him from behind to prevent disturbing him.

On the palm-sized screen, countless computer codes rolled along, and Wynn was operating it with his chubby little hands.

It didn't take a long time for the word "success" to pop out on the screen.

The scene of a hacker hacking a computer flashed through my mind. I said in astonishment, "Did you hack into somebody's computer?"

"No," Wynn explained, his voice

high-pitched like a child's, "I just created a small program to disguise myself as daddy. Then, I sent text messages to the chauffeur and Mr. Clark's subordinates respectively to tell them about our meeting, asking them to bring you here. They dared not disobey daddy, so they did as told."

Interesting. This kid was smart enough to give orders using his father's identity.

However, the fact that he was adept at using the programming software despite his age was rather mind-blowing.

Partially believing him, I picked up the gadget on the table to have a look before I gaped at him and asked for confirmation, "Was it really you?"

"Yes!" He nodded with certainty. He proudly puffed out his chest and showed his masculinity, as if he was afraid that I would not trust him.

I fell silent and stared at him, not knowing how to respond to this revelation.

I thought this meeting would help me gather some lost memories, but it turned out to be a joke. I felt so dumb to have rejoiced at it and having looked forward to it previously.

What could I do? It was just the whim of a kid. I couldn't admonish him for this.

I sighed helplessly and put the

gadget back onto the table. I feigned. anger and warned him by saying, "You are very clever, but in the future, you can't keep your daddy in the dark about meeting strangers. As the child of the richest man in town, if the bad guys have their eyes on you, you will be in danger. Do you understand?"

Wynn blinked his watery eyes. I did not know if he understood what I said.

I was a little discouraged and was losing my patience in educating the kid on behalf of his father. "Alright now that you've met me, and I've rejected you, our meeting shalkend here. It's getting late, so I'm heading back. Goodbye."

With that, I was ready to leave, but he grabbed me with his little hand once again and cried bitterly. "What will it take for you to be my mom?"

I didn't have a child. Nonetheless, for some reason, my heart softened subconsciously when I heard his sobbing voice.

Just as I was about to open my mouth and say something, a stern voice could be heard from the door. "Stop fooling around."
