I pursed my lips and smiled. With a straight face, I reminded him. "Jennifer said that she would take over the president's position temporarily to let you rest. What do you think?" "Sure." Hendrix nodded calmly. "It's settled then."

"I'll leave this to you." With that, he stood up and straightened his back. He extended an arm towards me. "Let's go, honey. Aurelia is at home. She's waiting for us."

Hendrix was much taller than me. I could just barely look him in the eye even though I was in high heels. His hand was at my chest level, deliberately expecting me to hook onto his arm.
