My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 2004
After playing with Aurelia and Wynn all afternoon, I noticed that Aaron still hadn't come home yet, and it was almost dinner time.
Just as I took out my phone to call him, he suddenly appeared at the front door.
"I'm back." Aaron took off his coat and handed it to the servant as though this was his own home. "Aurelia, did you miss your uncle?"
"Yes! I did!" Aurelia replied earnestly. "Uncle, please sit down! Let's eat!"
Aaron smiled triumphantly. As he pulled out a chair, he didn't forget to look at Hendrix. When he noticed how dark Hendrix's face was, he smirked.
"Where have you been today?" I filled up a bowl of soup and handed it to Aaron.
"I went out to do some stuff." Aaron took the bowl, ate a spoonful then smacked his lips in satisfaction. He stared at the bowl in his hand and sighed, "This tastes perfect. Did you make it?"
I smiled and nodded.
I need to cherish every moment I had with my children. I hoped that I could take care of them as much as I possibly could, so I prepared a few dishes by myself.
After Aaron said that, he finished the entire bowl in one gulp and handed the bowl back to me. "One more bowl, please. I've missed this for six whole years."
Hendrix then chimed in, "It's been six years, and you haven't been able to suppress your gluttony. If the Reid family is short on money to hire a chef, I don't mind sponsoring you some money." I was speechless.
Was he falling in and out of amnesia?
Sponsoring the Reid Family? Hendrix had just resigned from the Roberts Group. Where was he going to get any money?
When I thought about this, I couldn't help but shake my head. It's such a pity that Hendrix was so naive. He had been favored by the heavens, but has now become a fool.
"Hmph..." Aaron snorted as though
he deliberately wanted to make Hendrix uncomfortable. He stretched out his hand and pushed the bowl over to me. He wanted me to personally fill up his bowl. He then satisfyingly took it back.
As he blew on his hot soup, he intentionally, or maybe unintentionally mocked him. "Arianna is my younger sister. No matter where she goes, I will always remember the flavor of her cooking. Unlike some people who would make the most loving of oaths only to forgot everything in an instant."
As soon as he said that, things became tense at the dining table. The air around Hendrix turned extremely heavy as he sat there silently. It was frightening.
I noticed the cold look in his eyes, which had been indifferent a moment ago, just before Aaron spoke.
I grew even more suspicious of Hendrix. He didn't seem to have lost his memories after all.
As for Aaron, although he had
started all of this, he still acted as
though nothing had happened. He simply enjoyed drinking his soup. It seemed like he was in a completely different world from Hendrix.
I touched my forehead and thought, "When will these two finally stop fighting?"
It wasn't good to be in such a tense setting. I thought about this and was about to ease the tension when a maid came, "Sir, Madam, a visitor has arrived." "Please invite them in," I blurted out.
Finally, someone interrupted us. I was afraid that Aaron would keep pushing Hendrix to vent his anger, just like the day I first met him. His injuries had only just healed. It was better to avoid things like this for
now.

I was uncomfortable with how overprotective Aaron was of me, but I didn't want to escalate things, so I let things be.
Soon, the servants brought the guest in.
The moment our eyes met, Serene's face was filled with shock, as thought she had seen a ghost. Her eyebrows furrowed tightly.
