"I'm hard!" He said shamelessly, as if this was the most natural thing a person could say to another.

"If you're going to act crazy again, leave me out of it and do it somewhere else." I replied, unwilling to deal with him.

He pulled me into his arms and asked, "Where else can I go? The night is long, don't you think it's a little cruel how you're treating me?"

I...

I held my breath and forced a fake smile. "Mr. Roberts, thank you for your praise."

He smiled and said, "No thank you needed."

I laughed internally.

He really nothing but a shameless, thick-skinned person.

"Hendrix, if this gets you so restless, we'll sleep in separate rooms in the future. I can't sleep with you by my side anyway." I was serious about my suggestion as I couldn't take being forced into situations like this anymore.

He paused for a second and said, "Just twice a week and I won't touch you any other time,

hmm?"

He must be kidding!

This was two godd*mn nights, not just twice!

I rolled my eyes at him and said, "Sleep."

When I was in a daze, he hugged me tightly. I could feel his heavy, labored breaths against me. "Hendrix, go sleep in the guest room!"

He asked in a hoarse voice, "Just once then?"

I pursed my lips, feeling extremely sleepy. "Hendrix, I'm very sleepy."

That was true - I was so sleepy that I didn't even know when or how I fell asleep after our conversation.

I woke up to a new day.

Hendrix was in a classy-looking suit. Whenever he dressed up like this, he gave off an elegant, noble vibe which was very inconsistent with his behavior a night ago.

I pouted my lips and whispered, "You're such a beast."

His hearing was sharp. Even though that came out barely a whisper, he had heard it loud and clear. Squinting his eyes, he walked towards me, his lips curled into a smile.

I didn't pay him any attention. I closed my eyes and was going to continue sleeping for a little while longer.

I should've known that he would never let me have a day of peace. He started groping me through my pajamas.

I had to hit him a few times before he let go. I said coldly, "Hendrix, why are you so annoying? You won't let me sleep at night, and you won't let me sleep in the morning either. Just kill me if that makes you happy! Enough with all this crap."

He let out a laugh and whispered into my ear, "Arianna, are you on your period?"

All of a sudden, I felt a rush of anger. I grabbed the pillow and threw it at him, yelling, "Get out!"

He seemed to have grown used to me. His only reaction before he left was a kiss on my forehead.

I didn't plan to go out at first, but Kelsey called me for a chat.

After what happened with Calvin, she came to Jarold City. With a strong academic background, she successfully joined the Moore family's company after attending a few interviews.

We agreed to meet at a teahouse, but there weren't many tea fanatics in the city; thus, finding a good one was a bit of a challenge.

However, when there was a will, there was always a way.

She managed to find a secluded teahouse with a private room and a big, gorgeous window to sit by. When we arrived at the place, we quickly placed our tea orders.

"Calvin had been sentenced to death, so I'm finally free. Thank you!" She exclaimed as soon as she sat down.

I smiled. "You don't have to thank me, I also had my own agenda."

She smiled and didn't pay too much attention to what I said. She said, "Mr. Roberts' company must be in big trouble now."

I was surprised. Hendrix would never publicly talk about this while only top shareholders of the firm would know about this. After a pause, I asked, "Was this the doing of someone from the Moore family?"
