As I was in a hurry to turn my phone off, I only skimmed through my notifications. Aside from the first text asking me where I was, the rest were all questions about my well-being.

Then, off the plane went as it took off from the runway. Since it was too late to text him back, so I just turned off the phone.

It was a four-hour flight from Jarold City to Ucrebury. Since I didn't get to sleep well the night before, I asked the stewardess for a blanket shortly after the plane took off and caught up on some sleep. When I woke up, the plane had landed. I turned on the phone and looked at the time. It was six in the evening on the dot.

After getting off the plane, Kelsey drove to pick me up.

It was winter, so the sky got dark rather early. Though it was only six in the evening, the sky was already jet black. When I saw Kelsey, she was wrapped in a thick cotton-padded jacket. Other than a bag, I didn't bring anything else with me. She couldn't help but laugh when she saw me. "Did you come straight away after getting the call?"

I nodded, "Take me there now!"

There was some reluctance on her face when she paused and said, "Let's go get dinner first. I've already booked us a table at a restaurant. After dinner, I'll take you to the neighborhood where they live." Since she had made these arrangements for me, I didn't say anything more. I just nodded my head after a pause and agreed to her plans.

I didn't have much of an appetite. After a few quick bites, Kelsey drove me to the Bronzy Residence.

At the entrance to the community, I couldn't hide my awe and surprise. "Monique and the others live here?"

Kelsey nodded, "They usually take a walk around the community at night. But it's been cold recently, so they'd just walk for a while and then go back."

I paused and said nothing for a while. I had thought that Monique would probably still be living in the place we had bought before.

I then told Kelsey to drive the car in before going straight to the studio apartment.

I entered the code on the keypad and opened the door. The house was empty, and no one had lived there for a long time. It was exactly the same as when we had left before. Kelsey came to her senses and exclaimed, "No wonder they didn't stay in the villa they own and chose to live here instead. It turns out that you have a place here!"

I was surprised for a moment. "A villa?"

She nodded, "I checked and found that Sawyer had always lived in a villa in Flora Hill. But for some unknown reason, he then moved to this small neighborhood."

I went downstairs with her. Even though it was not snowing in Ucrebury, the temperature was extremely low. She took me to sit in the community's rest area.

She looked at me and asked, "When you see her later, are you going to greet her?"

I was startled by her question. "Why not?"

She shrugged, "Have you ever thought about why they would lie and tell you that they were in Mesville when they were clearly in Ucrebury?"

"Maybe they were afraid I would be worried!"

"In that case, what will they think about your sudden appearance? I have an idea. Would you like to hear it?"

"What is it?"

She sat up straight and looked at me. "You can go see them tonight, just try not to do it in a hurry. I'll take you somewhere tomorrow, and you then can deal with things calmly after you find out the truth, okay?" I was stunned and felt that she had made this situation solemn. I wanted to ask her about this but she continued, "Ah, they're coming over!"

I looked in the direction she pointed and saw two men, who were around 1.8 meters tall, pushing a stroller and chatting while walking.

They were quite far away, and my shortsightedness prevented me from seeing them clearly. However, judging from their figures, I could tell that they were Sawyer and lan.

I subconsciously wanted to go over, but was unexpectedly held back by Kelsey. "You'd better call and give them a heads up first."

I was slightly stupefied but still took out my cell phone to do as told. There were a few missed calls on the screen, all of which were from Hendrix.

I switched my phone to silent mode when I got off the plane earlier, and I didn't have time to look at my phone.

"Did you not inform Mr. Roberts about coming here?" She hesitated for a moment and asked when she caught a glimpse of the missed calls on my phone.

I nodded, looked for lan's phone number, and made the call.

Not long after, lan picked up. I looked at him as he hesitated for a moment. Then, Sawyer said something to him before he finally picked up the phone. "Arianna, what's the matter?" lan asked quietly.
