Aaron was looking at me as I looked up after sending the messages. He asked, "Are you leaving?"

Then, I nodded. "It's getting late. I should get going."

He pursed his lips and answered. "Okay!"

Ultimately, I did not really eat the lobsters as I packed them up to take them away with me.

Aaron tried talking to me as I did not say a word on the way back to Flora Hill, but to no avail.

When we turned into Flora Hill, he asked, "Are you going back to Hovell after New Year as promised?"

I was stunned for a moment before replying to his question, "Yes, I promise!"

Next, he nodded as he stopped the car in front of the villa. He looked at me and said, "Well, go on then!"

The lights in the villa were still on as I entered the house. Hendrix was reading a book on the sofa, and he turned his head to look when he heard movement at the door. After that, he put down the book and looked at me.

I stood and gazed at him for a while before walking over to his side. I hugged him as I sat down next to him.

Then, he hugged me back. He asked gently as he noticed I was not in a good mood, "What's wrong? What happened?"

I looked at him with my eyes slightly closed. Then, I lowered my head and reached out my hands to remove his belt.

He held me down and said with a smile in his voice. "Restrain yourself. We are in the living room. What's the hurry?"

I pressed my lips tight and pulled him up to the bedroom instead.

Then, he carried me up upstairs.

However, he noticed that something was not right with me. Thus, he frowned and asked, "What happened?"

He held my hands tightly, but I still did not know how to answer his question. I looked up at him and finally summoned the courage to ask. "When did you do it?" He frowned, "What?"

"The vasectomy"

His face sunk. There was a hint of seriousness in his voice as he asked, "Who told you?"

My eyes became wet with tears. I choked with sobs as I asked, "Did it hurt?"

He looked at me amusedly before he pulled me into his arms and said helplessly, "It's just a minor operation. I did not feel anything."

I wrapped my arms around his waist, feeling terrible. "I'm sorry!"

"This kind of minor surgery won't hurt me. Besides, we have Anne by our side, so let's not think about having another child. There's nothing to be sorry for"

He smoothed my long hair before he took my hand and smelled it. He asked, "What did you eat outside?"

I pucker my lips as I answered, "Aaron got me lobsters and I brought some back. Do you want to have some?"

He looked deep into my eyes, "I want you more."

I was dumbstruck. I looked at him for a moment and ran into the bathroom without thinking.

I switched on the water before I stood in the shower, desperately washing my skin.

Then, Hendrix knocked at the bathroom door and he ordered in his low voice, "Arianna, come out!"

I pressed my lips tighter as I still felt miserable. I took a deep breath and sat with my head down under the shower.

Then, tears ran down my face as I broke down. In the end, I could not control myself anymore.

On the other hand, Hendrix had changed the bathroom door after the last incident. He could now open the door even though it was locked from inside.

He came in and turned off the shower. His gaze was red-rimmed as he looked at me.

I buried my head between my legs as I said despairingly, "I tried but there is no other way. I can't get over it."

He got down beside me and raised his hand to smooth my messy hair. He sighed slightly and said, "Arianna, it's impossible for people to live in the past forever. There are times when we will stumble upon challenges. But, we will slowly let go of the pain together. I will still love you no matter what you have experienced or what you've become. We will go through this together."
