My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 951
His words were so casual, but it carried an immense ulterior meaning!
There was nothing I could do. Looking at him for a while, I swallowed nervously and said, "Don't get so close to me. It's getting late. I should go back."
The posture we were in was way too suggestive. I was caught in his embrace, and I felt suffocated.
He seemed to enjoy it very much. He did not do anything, but just looked at me and asked, "Back to where?"
As he spoke, he had already moved his lips closer to mine.
For a moment, I was a little nervous, and I didn't even dare to breathe. I instinctively closed my eyes.
I moved my body as I sensed something, and tried to avoid it. He opened his mouth and said in a low voice, "Don't refuse me!"
For a moment, I didn't know what to do. I let him do what he wanted.
It seemed that he had done all of this deliberately. He gently touched my cheek, and kissed it.
It was enough to make me lose my mind, because of the tenderness. My mind was suddenly empty.
"Arianna!" He spoke in a low and reserved voice. It was so mesmerizing.
I merely grunted in response, expecting that he was going to do something next, but he stopped.
I opened my eyes and saw him looking at me with a smile. His lips were slightly red. "Do you want it?"
My face turned completely red, and my voice had become soft. "Hendrix, you b*stard!"
His low laughter resounded in my ears.
The events of the night were inevitable.
The sunshine in August was piercingly hot. When I woke up and saw the man lying next to me, I was so shocked that I almost passed out. "Why are you still here?"
Hendrix was still lying on the bed. When he saw that I had woken up, he stretched out his arms and pulled me into his embrace.
He smiled, "Why can't I be here?"
I had not fully recovered from the shock. I looked at him and spoke, "I..."
"Hungry?"
I pursed my lips and kept away from him. "It's time for me to go!" I had to get to work in the morning.
He held me down as he asked, "Where are you going?"
After a moment of silence, I said, "Hendrix, last night was because of the alcohol. From now on..."
"From now on, we will go our separate ways?" His tone was not gentle anymore, and had become extremely frigid. "Arianna, do you really want me to let you escape, just like that?"
I shook my head and said, "No!" But I couldn't say anything for a moment. I paused and uttered softly, "I didn't want to escape. I just wanted to have my own life. Hendrix, you are very good to me, but you have your own path."
"Bullsh*t!" He was furious. "What do you mean by 'have your own life'? Have I affected your life so negatively?"
I nodded, and my face was a little stiff. "Yes, it has. I want to find a life of my own, away from yours, why don't you understand?"
He kept silent, and didn't say anything. He just looked at me, his eyes cold and sinister.
He was really furious!
I got up, pulling over the clothes on the ground, and put them on. Indifferently, I said, "Sorry for bothering you last night."
I didn't wait for him to react, and left the hotel.
I took a taxi directly to the Milton Group. I had a hangover from the alcohol and it made me a little tired and uncomfortable.
As soon as I entered the office, I saw Sebastian staring at me deeply. He was dressed in a black suit.
I was stunned, and remembered Naomi had said that he drank too much last night. I didn't know what happened to him after that.
I forced a smile and greeted him, "Good morning, Mr. Milton!"
Linda took a pile of documents and placed them on my table, "Miss Reid, you have a lot to do today. Please work on them, thank you!"
I nodded as I greeted her with a smile. After Linda left, Sebastian continued to stare at me.
I couldn't help but feel a little scared. "Mr. Milton, you..."
"You didn't return home last night. Where did you go?" He asked in a deep voice.
