I had no words.

Sebastian...

I had not paid much attention to their conversation earlier, but it seemed like their conversation was intimate and uncensored.

Ill at ease, the waiter quietly left the room. Perhaps he felt awkward with where the topic of conversation went.

Sebastian's face was not happy. He was already angry. Now Naomi had latched on to him. His handsome face darkened with a scowl.

His dark pupils stared at me as if he could look into my soul and tear me apart. I tried to pull Naomi away, but it was useless.

I shivered a little and tried to explain. "Mr. Milton, she is drunk now. She doesn't know what she's saying. She's probably dreaming."

"Arianna, you've done well!" He was literally gnashing his teeth in anger.

I tried to fake a laugh. It was so awkward. Linda, who had been quietly lying down earlier, woke up at the commotion.

She got up in a daze. When she saw Sebastian, she was also stunned. As if she had sobered up, she struggled to stand up then blurted out, "Hello, Mr. Milton. I still have work to do. I'll head out first."

What?

She had clearly forgotten everything that had happened. She got up and actually started to head out.

I was a little confused. Did she really think that she was at work? Something bad would happen to her if she went out like this.

I didn't have time to mull it over and quickly apologized to Sebastian, "Mr. Milton, I'm sorry. Linda drank too much. I'll go and see to her!"

I hurriedly followed her out and bumped into someone at the door. Without seeing who it was, I said in a hurry, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

But before I could walk past, my hand was grabbed and I was pulled backward. Only then did I get a good look at who it was.

My eyes widened. Hendrix? Why would he be here?

So Naomi really managed to call Hendrix just now.

"Hend..."

Before I could say more, he said, "Where are you going?" "It's Linda, she's had too much to drink. It's not safe for her to be alone!" I answered. I was really worried about my friend.

Hendrix looked at Sebastian, who was still trapped by Naomi in the room. His gaze softened in understanding, then walked out of the bar with me.

I found Linda asleep beside the flower pot next to the door.

I tried to wake her up, but she didn't budge at all. So Hendrix made a call and Evan arrived after ten minutes or so.

"Mr. Roberts!" Looking at Linda on the floor and me, Evan pinched the bridge of his nose, exasperated.

"Find a way to send her back or get a hotel room for her to sleep it off." Hendrix gave his orders then pulled me up abruptly and started walking away.

I was still a little dazed. Tripping along behind him, I asked, "Hendrix, what are you doing?"

He did not say a word and pushed me into his car. After starting the car, he sped off down the road.

The car window was opened, and gusts of cold wind blew in. That and the speed made me feel more and more nauseated.

I felt like puking, and I pulled desperately on Hendrix's sleeve for him to stop the car. I got out of the car, leaned against a flowerpot by the roadside, and puked my guts out.

A bottle of water appeared before me. I drew a deep breath and took the bottle to rinse my mouth. Then, I heard his forlorn voice, "Are you still feeling unwell?"

I shook my head, but that made me dizzy. I stood up and he wrapped me in his arms. Subconsciously I wanted to push him away.

But after a full day's work and many, many drinks, I had no strength left to struggle, so I simply closed my eyes and let him hold me.

He carried me into the car and I leaned back into the seat. Feeling so tired, I didn't want to move. Hendrix rolled up the car window. I felt a little sleepy and closed my eyes. I soon fell asleep.

When I came to my senses, I realized that I was lying on a hotel bed. The sound of running water could be heard from the bathroom.
