Lili heard Valentina crying and was worried, she didn’t know what she could do to help her. Her mood had dropped a lot and being locked in the bathroom didn’t help much.

-Valentina, please open the door for me, let me help you, honey.

But she didn’t get an answer, she just cried non-stop. Immediately Lili left the room in search of the alpha. He was the only one who could help her, no matter what he said, she needed him. By the time the brunette found him behind the village she ran to him.

-Alpha. The woman calls out to him which makes him turn, and seeing her running towards him he frowns.

-What are you doing here? What happened?

-She needs you alpha, she needs to go to the house right now.

Eren doesn’t wait for any more words as he runs off in the direction of her house, which he reaches in seconds, almost jumping up the stairs. When he enters the room he spots Sofia sitting by the bathroom door and when he sees her he runs towards him.

-She’s locked in, she doesn’t want to talk or go out. She is also crying a lot.

-Go downstairs with your mother, I’ll take care of her, okay? He smiles at her, stroking her hair.

The girl nods to run away… Eran focuses on the door listening to Valentina’s whimpering on the other side. He had no idea what he could do, he didn’t even know what the hell had happened. But something had to be done to help her. Slowly he reached the door knocking softly.

-Valentina, it’s Eren…

-Go away! I hear her say between the cries.

-Listen, it’s going to be alright. Whatever happened to you to make you like this, don’t worry.

But he didn’t answer anymore… maybe he wasn’t doing so well. Maybe he wasn’t the right person to talk to her, why the hell did Lili think he was? She closed her eyes for a moment before speaking again.

-Why don’t you come out and tell me what’s going on. I’ll stay here all day if I have to as long as you get out of there.

He finishes and sits down, leaning his back against the door. Not that she had much time available to stay there, but given the circumstances, it was worth it. Valentina couldn’t stay locked in the bathroom all day. Besides, the doctor had told her not to take strong emotions.

-Please Valentina, get out of there. He spoke softly.

The brunette looked at the door knowing that Eren was still there behind it, biting her lips while shedding hundreds of tears. All the emotions came together at the same moment and the only one who was there to help her out of that mess was him? Why him? Valentina crawled to the door, sticking her ear to the door. There he was, sitting on the floor, she wondered why he was doing all that? Didn’t he care about his wife?

Valentina opened the door and saw that he was sitting just as she thought he was. But the worst of it all was that she didn’t manage to take a single step as she looked into his piercing green eyes and was petrified on the spot. She saw him stand up and approach her and to her surprise he hugged her tightly which produced another reaction in her, crying again like a cupcake.

-Calm down, everything will be alright.

-No, nothing will be all right. Don’t say that!

-I promise you everything will be fine, you don’t have to worry about anything. Eren tightened his embrace. -I promise I’ll help you with whatever I can.

-No, no, no, no…” he said, pushing him away. -How can you say that to me? I don’t remember anything about my life, I don’t know who the hell I am or why the hell I’m here. I don’t know your reasons for bringing me here.

-I don’t want to hurt you, it’s the last thing I would do in this world Valentina. My mission is to protect you until you regain your memory and then….

-And if I don’t get my memory back? -What’s going to happen?

-You can stay here if you like, I…

-Your what? -She angrily demands. -You’re married to Lili and you kissed me, how do you think I feel about that? She yells at him just as the brunette walks in with a tray of food in her hands.

Eren frowns at Valentina’s words, what the hell had that woman just said? Married to Lili? Where the f**k did she get that from?

-What? asks a surprised Lili. Valentina catches her at that moment covering her mouth.

-I’m sorry! She apologizes, crying to herself. -It wasn’t… I… I’m so sorry!

She expresses, tongue-tied, and then runs out of the room, ashamed of her actions. The last thing she wanted was for Eren’s wife to hear them but this guy was being so brazen that she couldn’t stand him treating her as if there was no family to look out for.

-What the hell just happened? Lili asked, looking at the alpha.

-I think he thinks you’re my wife.

Eren was already realizing why she had rejected him the night before. That explained a lot and at the same time gave him an idea that would serve him well.

-You should tell her that I’m not your wife.

-No! Let her think that you are my wife and Sofia my daughter.

-But alpha, why?

-That way I’ll keep her away from me, and vice versa. -I don’t think that’s a good idea.

-You will! He orders out of the room.

It was the best thing for both of them, when she regained her memory he would return her to her life and he would go on with his as if nothing had happened… as he went down the stairs he caught Valentina sitting on the stairs at the back of his house, he could see her through the wire netting. He shook his head and went out the front door.

Valentina was whimpering non-stop when out of nowhere she felt a presence sitting next to her, she looked sideways at Lili. She thought she would make a fuss and throw her out of the house. Where could she go if she didn’t remember anything.

-Don’t worry. says the brunette.

-What?

-It’s okay, I apologize to both of you for what happened.

-What are you saying? If your husband and I kissed, how can you say something like that to me.

-Well, he talked to me and told me that it was an impulse because of your vulnerable state. But he promised it wouldn’t happen again.

-Lili, I’m so sorry.

-It’s okay. The brunette smiles at her, taking her hands. -You shouldn’t feel bad.

The brunette didn’t understand what was going on in that place. That woman, instead of being furious and wanting to kill her, was simply telling her that everything was fine. Did they share men in that place? Because if that was the case, it was complete madness. All the more reason for her to regain her memory and get out of there.

-When I remember where I come from, I promise to leave the same day.

-Don’t force yourself, you’ll remember everything when you have to. Smiles the young mother. -We’d better go inside before you catch a cold.

Lili stands up, giving her a hand to imitate her. Valentina follows her into the house, a house she was just getting to know since she hadn’t left her room since she arrived. She was fascinated by how comfortable it was inside, rustic but quite nice and above all spacious.

-Lili, what is this place? She asked, knowing that it was time to know where the f**k she was.

-We are a community that lives in the mountains, there are many like us. We don’t like civilisation as it is very noisy. Here everything is very quiet and peaceful. That is why we have decided to make our lives here. Nobody knows how to get here, only those of us who live here know the right way.

The mountain? All those people lived like mountaineers… For heaven’s sake! How the hell were they going to find it if anyone was looking for it?
