-No! He can only do it with his mate.

-Can he… can he turn me into a wolf?

-If that is your wish, my wife never wanted it and for that reason I lost her very soon. She left a great emptiness inside me, I have spent many years alone.

-Why are you telling me all this?

-Because my last wish is for you and my son to have a long life together.

-Last?!

-Soon I will depart from this world, I am ill, and I have told you this without my son’s permission. He has – He shrugs his shoulders – I was afraid to confess this truth to you, he thinks I would overwhelm you with so many transcendental revelations – The man laughs a little tiredly.

But Valentina just stood in shock… so much news was definitely starting to take its toll on her brain; first werewolves, then she was the life partner of one of them who turned out to be a king, now they could turn her into a wolf if they wanted to and to top it all off her father-in-law was dying… Damn it, where the hell had she stopped? By now she was thankful she didn’t have any memories of her past life because she sure couldn’t handle that much.

-Mr. Bardas, I’m so sorry about your illness. I thought as wolves you could be cured or healed of your ailments.

-But not terminal illnesses, we may be supernatural but in the end we are mortal beings at some point we must die.

-I’m sorry!

-It’s all right, it’s something I expect.

-Can I ask you something?

-You tell me.

-Why didn’t your wife wish to become a wolf? -Why didn’t she wish to die as a wolf?

-She wished to die as a human!

She notices the old man take a few steps into the undergrowth of the forest, while she remained planted where she was, thinking about everything she had been told.

-Don’t leave my son alone Valentina, I think he would die of sadness without you by his side.

He finishes to turn into a huge albino wolf, she takes two steps back before the huge size of it. After that, the wolf licks the chestnut’s cheek and then enters the forest, among the pines she could see several brown wolves following the albino’s steps… and that’s when she managed to let out her breath.

-A she-wolf? Me?” She pursed her lips, could it be possible?

On the way to where Sofia was still bathing happily, she was thinking about what Eren would think if she agreed to be turned, she imagined herself running through the forest with him. At least he wouldn’t have to deal with her since she could defend herself. She wondered, would the change be painful… on the other hand, being a werewolf would change her life forever, she wouldn’t go back to her old life if she ever regained her memory.

She stops at the splash of Sophia who was oblivious to her presence, although if she looked at it closely with all that time since her accident she didn’t remember anything… she probably never would.

-Are you finished? -The childish voice of the girl brought her out of her reverie.

-We can go back if you want.

-I think so,” she replies, getting out of the water.

But at that moment a mischievous gleam came into Sofia’s eyes, then the puppy nimbly threw Valentina into the water, drenching her completely.

-SOFIA! What have you done? -She said indignantly as the water was freezing cold, she didn’t understand how the hell that girl was bathing herself.

-You needed a shower, if my alpha had smelled you he would know I had spoken to his father,” The little girl laughs out loud.

-Naughty puppy! -she exclaims, coming out of the water shivering like a jelly.

If you were a she-wolf you wouldn’t be freezing to death.

-You’re so funny! -Smiles the brunette.

The two started to walk back to the castle, but Valentina was freezing to death. She was so cold that her hands were numb and turning purple. Her steps slowed down in the middle of the forest.

-Valentina, what’s wrong? -Sofia seemed distressed by the colour of her friend’s skin.

-I’m… I’m… I’m… I’m very cold,” the young woman stammers, falling to her knees.

-Oh no! You’re going into hypothermia -Help! -she shouts at the top of her lungs.

Suddenly two wolves came up to them looking at the situation. Valentina was almost curled up on the ground while the girl covered her with her warm body.

-She has hypothermia, she needs warmth,” the puppy looked up at the wolves.

-We must take her to the castle.

-She’ll die from the cold, one of you lie on her.

-She’s the future queen, we can’t invade the alpha’s space.

-SHE WILL DIE! -He shouts at them.

They look at each other, and then at the young girl who was shivering in an almost purple state… without any other choice one of them tried to lie on Valentina to give her warmth with his body but a loud growl was present and the wolves petrified lowering their heads.

-Eren! -exclaimed Sofia.

The alpha had smelled that something was wrong with Valentina as her scent had become strange. So he stopped everything he was doing and ran out of the castle turning into a wolf. He ended up finding her lying on the ground freezing to death with a wolf about to lay on her body, he wasn’t going to let that happen. He walked slowly over to her, looking at the guards beside him and ordered them to stand down.

Seconds later he settled his body next to her, lending her his warmth. She was shaking badly and wouldn’t open her eyes, just lying there in a ball on the ground. His thick fur served to cover her from the cold breeze, and his body heat allowed her to warm up quickly and stop shivering.

-I think she’s warming up, alpha,” Sofia said, kneeling down in front of her.

-What happened?

-It was my fault, I pushed her into the pool. The water was too cold,” she answers, looking at her fisted hands.

-Sofia, Valentina doesn’t have the same stamina that you and I have. Our nature is different from ours, this could have killed her.

-I’m so sorry alpha.

-You should be more careful when you play with her. She is very fragile.

Eren stands up returning to his human state, he takes Valentina in his arms who seemed unconscious. But at least her body had stopped shaking and fortunately her body had regained its natural colour.

-Is she going to be alright?

-Yes, she just needs to get warmer.

Something wasn’t right, a voice in Valentina’s head echoed. Her body felt very comfortable, mostly warm and comforted, but what was next to her wasn’t normal. The young woman stirred in bed feeling a large lump next to her.

-But what? -She asked, looking at the huge silver wolf lying next to her on the bed. -At that he sees Eren’s ears perk up along with his head, “Looks like I’ve gotten myself into trouble,” he says stroking Eren’s muzzle.

He begins to lick her face, impregnating her with it. Valentina smiles at the wolf’s affection, when in her short life she would have imagined such a scene.

-I hope you weren’t too hard on Sofia, she was just playing,” she lays her head back from the pillow, “I wish I could understand you.

He wanted it that way too, for her to understand him. But that would require turning her into a wolf, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to propose. He didn’t think she was ready.

-I know you didn’t want to tell me that you can turn me into a wolf Eren, your father told me everything,” The wolf whimpers and then returns to normal.

-My father shouldn’t have told you any of that,” he replies once he’s back to his human state.

-But he did, and I think I feel better knowing that.

-I didn’t want you to feel pressured by any of this, you’re already going through so much.
