My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit -
Chapter 691 The Meaning of the Bracelet
"Well..." Sydney froze for a moment. She raised her hand to touch her hair and suddenly laughed. "I see. I thought you had X-ray vision."
"I wish I had X-ray vision." Julien raised his eyebrows.
Hearing this, Sydney felt a little upset.
She looked up and narrowed her eyes at him. "You wish you had X-ray vision?"
"Yeah." Julien nodded his head.
Sydney became more upset. "Why? Do you want to see other people naked?"
She had such a shocking thought because it was strange that he wanted X-ray vision.
And as far as she knew, men who wanted X-ray vision were usually lechers. They just wanted to look at other people's naked bodies.
When Julien heard Sydney's words, the corners of his mouth twitched. He reached out and flicked her forehead. "What are you thinking about? Why should I want to see naked bodies? Even if I wanted to, I would only look at yours."
He spoke seriously.
Then he was elbowed by Sydney.
Sydney blushed and glared at him. "Stop talking nonsense. Who allows you to see me naked?"
How dared he say that!
Julien patted Sydney's shoulder to reassure her. "Okay, okay, I won't do that."
However, he didn't think so.
He didn't do it now, but he would do it in the future.
Julien's eyes flashed mischievously, and then he took her hand.
When he looked at her fair wrist, he was not surprised to find there was only a watch around it.
When he had the bracelet sent to her, he did not say any words, so she did not know the meaning of the bracelet, let alone why he had suddenly given her an old bracelet.
So it was normal for her not to wear it.
"Come on. It's cold outside. Let's get into the car first." Julien grabbed Sydney's hand, held it to his lips, and blew a breath of hot air to warm up her cold hand. Sydney didn't resist.
They were already together. If she always resisted him when he touched her, then they wouldn't be lovers.
"Let's go." Sydney nodded.
Julien pulled open the car door and let her get in.
Sydney stroked her hair and bent down, ready to get in.
Just as she had one foot in the car, she suddenly heard someone click the shutter.
Sydney frowned, withdrew her foot from inside the car, and turned to look in the direction of the sound.
She saw bushes.
The sound was from behind the bushes in the roadside flower bed.
"Did you just hear that?" Sydney asked the man beside her as she stared at the bushes as if to see the person behind the bushes.
The man nodded slightly, "Yes. Someone was photographing us."
"So it wasn't my illusion." Sydney pursed her lips. "It must be a paparazzo again."
Julien said, "Yes."
Sydney grunted. "Why do they keep an eye on me rather than those celebrities in showbiz?"
This was Skylight Corporation's building. If the paparazzo were not here to ambush her, what would he be doing here?
"It's normal. Everyone knows that we got back together. Of course, they wanted to get more information, so they came here to lie in wait," Julien said.
Sydney looked at him. "Are there paparazzi outside the Flint Corporation too?"
"No." Julien shook his head. "They don't dare to wait outside the Flint Corporation."
The paparazzi had once waited outside the Flint Corporation, and Julien had someone teach them a lesson, so the paparazzi didn't dare to come again.
Hearing this, Sydney felt it unfair. "How snobbish they are! They don't dare to come to the Flint Corporation, so they come to my company. How dare they look down upon Skylight? I have to go over there and take a look."
Saying that, she was about to go.
The moment her foot moved, the bushes there shook.
Obviously, the paparazzo behind was watching them.
Julien pulled her arm. "Don't go. It is just a paparazzo. Pay no attention to him."
"But he took a picture of us." Sydney frowned.
Julien raised his chin. "I know. Let him go so that everyone will know that what was reported in the morning is not fake. It doesn't matter, as long as they don't cook up stories. Otherwise, I will take action against them."
Hearing this, Sydney had to give up. She withdrew her foot and got back into the car.
Julien glanced at the bushes coldly.
The bushes trembled even more violently.
Julien ignored it and got into the driver's seat.
After the car was far away, the trembling bush finally quieted down.
The paparazzo in the back patted his chest and let out a long breath. "They finally left. My goodness! I thought I was going to be killed as Mr. Flint glanced at me just now. He is so scary." Just now he hid here to take a picture and was noticed by Sydney and Julien. The paparazzo had thought that they would come over, make trouble for him, and ask him to delete the photo. So at that time, the paparazzo was scared half to death.
But what he didn't expect was that Sydney and Julien didn't come to him. Instead, they got into the car and left.
What did they mean by this?
Did they mean that he was allowed to post the photo he had taken?
The paparazzo looked in the direction Sydney and Julien had left, and then he looked at the camera in his hand, not sure what they meant and if he should post the photo.
If he posted the photo, and they took action against him, he would be finished.
But if he didn't post it, it would be a pity because they could rarely get a picture of their intimacy.
The paparazzo held the camera hesitantly.
After a while, he suddenly stood up with determination in his eyes.
He decided to post the photo.
Since they did not come to ask him to delete the photo, they must have allowed him to post it.
The paparazzo thought that he would lose his job at worst.
He decided to make a bet.
Thinking of this, the paparazzo turned around and walked towards his raggedy van.
Meanwhile, in the car.
Sydney suddenly thought of something. She opened her bag, took out a box, opened it, and looked at the man driving beside her. "Julien, is this what you had someone give me?" Julien glanced at the box. From his angle, he could not see what was inside, but from the box, he knew what was inside.
After all, even that box was prepared by him.
He nodded his head slightly and said, "Yes."
Sydney sighed in relief and put the box down. "I thought it was someone's prank, but why did you give me a bracelet all of a sudden? And it's such an expensive antique."
She was confused.
Julien turned the steering wheel while answering, "It was given to you by my grandma, not me."
"Grandma?" Sydney froze and then looked down at the box in her hand. "Why did Grandma suddenly give me this?"
Julien smiled. "When you get to the hospital, you can ask her. She will answer you."
Seeing that Julien was unwilling to tell her the reason, Sydney rolled her eyes at him and put the box away. "Alright."
Julien chuckled. "Are you unhappy?"
"No." Sydney shook her head. "Why should I be unhappy?"
"That's good." Julien nodded slightly and added, "It's not that I don't want to tell you. It's better to let Grandma tell you the meaning of this bracelet."
"Why?"
"Probably because of the inheritance," Julien said after thinking for a while.
Hearing this, Sydney immediately guessed the meaning of this bracelet, her heart beating fast. She nodded, fondling the bracelet box in silence.
