Not His Type Of Mate
Chapter 171

Nora's

POV

I was in the sitting room, playing with Julius. After Maddison talked with him, things have returned to normal between us, and we've been closer than ever. We would play at any given chance, and I couldn't be happier. Seeing my son smiling because of me was the happiest thing for me, and I was excited. "Mum, what's wrong with dad?" He asked, and I was confused. I looked at him and raised a brow. "What do you mean? What could be wrong with your dad?" I asked, and he sighed. He sat with his whole legs on the couch and turned to face me. "You see, since the day he came back that morning when he went to a birthday party, he hasn't been playing with me, and I hardly see him downstairs. He's always in his room or always doing one thing or the other. It's like Dad doesn't want to see Julius anymore," he said, sulking and pouting, which amused me and I chuckled. "So, you think Dad doesn't want to play with you again?" I asked, and he nodded his head, which made me laugh again.

"You should know Dad loves you a lot, and he wants to play with you, but he is busy. Dad has a lot to do these days, and he has been busy doing them. He would sleep, wake up, and start doing them again. He has been very busy, but I will make sure he sees you tonight before you goes to bed, okay?" I said to him, and I saw his eyes light up. He nodded his head and smiled. "Okay, Mum. Thanks for this," he replied. I was about to reply to him when I heard Alpha Leo's voice in my head, and I was nervous because I knew it would be about Laura. "Nora," he called. "Please, hold a second," I said to him and grabbed Julius's hand. "Julius, Mum is coming. I want to quickly pick something upstairs. Can you continue making the planes?" I asked him, and he nodded. We were making paper planes and playing with them. I stood up and walked toward the stairs. "You can continue now. I was with Julius then, but I had to excuse myself," I said to him as I was climbing the steps.

"How is he? I mean Julius?" He asked, and I smiled. "He's fine," I replied. I was curious to know what he had to say about Laura because I knew he had connected with me to talk about her. "I met with Laura," he said, and my curiosity rose. "Really? What did she say?" I asked curiously, but he was quiet for a while, which made my heart start racing, and I was a little bit scared. "We settled it, and she agreed to surrogacy, but there is a problem," he said. I was glad to know that she accepted surrogacy, as that would make her leave my husband. The problem he mentioned did not bother me a little because I knew the highest she could ask for was money, and we all had that. I could even give her the money myself if she wanted it. I wanted to appreciate Alpha Leo and tell him not to bother about the problem, but then again, I decided it wouldn't hurt to listen to it, although I already knew it would be about money. "What's the problem?" I asked, not very interested though.

"She said she would opt for surrogacy only if Maddison accepts to be the male donor," he replied, and my heart stopped. I was quiet for a long while before I opened my mouth and hissed. "She must have lost her mind. She is crazy. What sort of rubbish is that? Why would she want my husband's sperm to make her child? Maddison is mine, and I'm the only one permitted to carry his baby!" I replied, anger surging through my veins. I was jealous, possessive, and irritated. How could another woman share my husband with me? "That cannot be done," I added. "I know, and I don't want that either. I've been thinking of a better way to solve this, but it will be better if you can think of a way too," he advised, and I agreed. "Let's see how it goes. I will let you know when I think of something," I told him, and we ended the mind link.

I walked up the stairs and went to our room, but Maddison wasn't there. I came out of the room and perceived his scent, following it, I realized he was in the gym room. I rushed there and saw him hitting a punching bag. He was throwing punches after punches, and he was sweating profusely. His sweat had drenched his shirt, which made it obvious that he had been punching the bag for a long time. I walked toward him and stood beside him. "Maddison," I called, but he ignored me and continued punching the bag. He was groaning, he was tired, but he refused to stop, and my heart was aching for him. I moved closer and stood in front of him, hoping he would stop because I believed he wouldn't hit me. He threw his punch forward and was just a few inches away from me when he stopped and groaned, "I'm tired, Nora. I've never been this stressed before. I've never been this bothered and helpless before. I can't eat; I can't concentrate on anything because my mind keeps going there. How could Laura disrupt my life this much when I've always seen her as a friend? I've always cared for her as a friend, but she could still do this to me?" He lamented bitterly, and I could feel his pain. "She has given the pictures to people, and they might upload them anytime. People seeing it is not my problem, but Julius's. He would surely go to school, and his classmates would point fingers at him. They would call him the son of a shameless father. I don't want my son to go through such an ordeal; I don't want it at all," he added, and I sighed. "It's going to be fine, Maddison. We can always do something about this, and Julius won't see it. We can always pay media companies that upload it to take it down the moment they uploaded it, and everything will be fine." I tried to pacify him, but he shook his head and sighed. "Seems you don't understand social media, Nora. Even if we take it down immediately after it was uploaded, some people would have seen it already, and that would still spread the information," he complained, and I realized he was right. I had no idea what I was supposed to say again, but I decided to continue comforting him. I held his hand and revealed a comforting smile. "Don't worry too much. You have me; you have Alpha Leo too, and we both are always here to help you out. We will solve this for you, Maddison," I said to him, and he sighed.

I led him to a seat where I made him sit down, and I left to offer him water. "Take. Drink this and calm down," I said to him, and he nodded. He collected the water, drank it, and dropped the cup.

I placed my hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. "I will make sure this is solved, okay? This won't ruin you, I promise." The fact that Laura wanted his sperm to create her baby was something I wouldn't want Maddison to know about. The fear that he might accept it was so much that my heart wouldn't stop racing whenever I remembered it, and I desperately prayed that wouldn't happen. "Don't worry about a thing, don't do anything, either. Don't even talk to Laura. I will do all the thinking and settle this for you," I said to him and smiled sweetly at him.
