POV

I turned to see Alpha Leo standing behind me, and my joy knew no bounds. I heaved a sigh of relief, finally. I was so scared at that moment, and immediately I saw alpha Leo; I calmed down; at least I wouldn't have to make out with a complete stranger. I was still feeling relieved when suddenly, alpha Leo put his hands around my waist. I stared at him, shocked, and it seemed like the shock was still coming in when he tucked my hair behind my ear, planting a little kiss on my cheek. "Babe, what were you thinking, leaving me? I was so worried about you." He said as he started to examine me.

I stared at him, shocked. I couldn't even speak as I was confused. What was going on with him? Why was he suddenly acting this way? Did he have a drink? These questions kept ringing in my head as he acted as if he cared about me.

"I..." he didn't even let me speak when he placed another kiss on my forehead.

"Don't do this again, babe. I was so freaking worried about you. Where did you even go? Come on, let's go home. You made me so worried about you." He said, and I stared at him, shocked.

Since when did Alpha Leo suddenly start to show so much care for me?

From what I knew, alpha Leo didn't even like me, so why was he suddenly doing all these things for me? Worst of all, even though I'd always wanted to know how it felt to be loved, it coming from alpha Leo just felt so strange, especially at a place like this. "Come on, babe. Let's go." He told me, leading me away when the man suddenly held onto my hand.

"And where do you think you're taking her?" He asked as he pulled me back to himself, and I swallowed as I turned back to Alpha Leo, wondering what he would do.

Ignoring the man, alpha Leo grabbed my hand again as he took me with him, leading me away again when the man held onto my hand again, stopping him. "She's booked for the night, man. She agreed to come with me, and as you can see, we've got plans." He said, and I swallowed.

Alpha Leo stared at him, scoffed before grabbing my hand again, and this time, the man still didn't relent. "Didn't you hear me? We've got plans." He said, and before I knew it, alpha Leo shoved me to the side as he sent two punches right into the man's stomach, causing him to fall to the ground, unconscious immediately.

I gasped as I stared at the man who had now fallen unconscious, and I swallowed before raising my head to Alpha Leo. How strong was he that with just two punches, he could knock this man out?

"Shall we?" He asked, not sounding very vocal, but I heard him.

At that point, I still couldn't bring myself to move freely with this man because the thought of him being able to knock another out with just two punches scared me.

He led me to a car that was parked around there, and I stared at him, shocked. For this car to be here, it meant that while I was struggling to get through to him through mind link, he could see me.

I gave a little frown, which I was sure he didn't care to notice. This man just got me scared, and all for what? Nothing.

It seemed the day was just going to be full of more surprises for me because he opened the passenger's seat for me before going over to his side.

Immediately he got in, I passed the drugs over to him. I didn't know how dangerous these things were, and as such, I couldn't keep them for so long, for my safety at least.

"Here you go!" I told him as I placed them on his lap and after rearranging them, he turned to me.

"Tell me, what did the man look like?" He asked.

"Which man? Didn't you just see him?" I asked him.

He rolled his eyes, "Not that one. The one who I had asked you to go see, the main dealer." He said, and I swallowed.

"Oh, I didn't know," I said as I put my seatbelts around me. I took a deep inhale before continuing to speak. "I don't really know because he was masked and...."

"He was masked?" Alpha Leo interrupted me, and I nodded. "Go on."

I nodded, "he had this scary voice, not really a hot voice that can send shivers down your spine but a voice one that can make you scared for your life. He seemed average in height, but I wouldn't know that since he was seated. Also, he asked way too many questions." I said.

"Is that all the information you've got about him?" He asked me, and I took a deep inhale before nodding,

"Unfortunately, yes," I said, and he nodded, and just as he started the car, about to drive off, I remembered something. "Wait, there's one more thing," I called his attention, and he turned to him. "What is it?" He asked.

"In his hand there seemed to be a mark on his left hand, and it seemed like an insect bite," I told him, and he rested his head on the seat's headrest.

"I think I know who it is." He said, and I turned away. I didn't want to get even more involved in this.

He kept silent for a moment before saying, "Don't read meaning to what I did out there, it was just an act."

His words shattered my heart but I composed myself and looked outside the window.

He started the car, and all through the drive back to my house, neither of us said a word except for Lolita howling in my head. She couldn't get past the kiss Alpha Leo placed on my cheek.

We were both very quiet, and when we finally got to my house, I opened the car's door. I frowned as I got out, and just as I was about to leave, he called out to me.

"Nora?" I bent to his level as I placed my head in the window.

"Yes, Alpha?"

He sighed, "Thank you." He told with a frown like he was forced to say it.

I stared at him, shocked.
