Once Upon a Steamy Night
Bonus Chapter

Candles were lit, and sage was burning in a dark cave hidden up north. A crystal ball sat in the middle of the make-shift room and long nails were stirring a portion in a bowl. Three bodies lay in the center of the room and people moved about with robotic speed.

Then they all gathered. Twelve in number all covered in a black cloak. The chanting began sounding like a rhythm and the first body moved.

The chanting continued faster than before and their candles flared up, the cave rattled from the spell.

And suddenly, they stopped and passed out unconscious.

After a few minutes, they woke up and continued their chanting. It seemed like a ridiculous thing to do especially since they had blood dripping down their nostrils. Finally, the first body moved and joined them in their chanting.

The second body moved a muscle.

"Faster, she's coming up."

The chanting grew louder, and the second body jerked awake.

The man smiled showing off his perfect set of teeth as he stared into confused forest-green eyes.

"Welcome back, Princess," he grinned.

The girl blinked and stared into familiar emerald eyes.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" She asked.

"No, but it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Zed, your grandfather and I will tell you a story of how the world kicked you to the curb."

The girl nodded and urged him on.

"Once upon a time, Claire. It all started in the town of Rutherford..."
