6 months later

Landon’s POV

It is our beautiful Amore’s birthday today. She is still asleep in bed as we set up the house. We have every area down stairs covered in red, white and pink balloons with roses in every corner and her presents on the coffee table, if she can find them.

She still hasn’t agreed to give us a wedding date as yet, but we don’t care. She knew as soon as she said yes she would be walking down the isle within the month, Ma would make sure of that. There would be definitely no 1 year of organising, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a storage shed full of everything needed in every colour she thought Kate would choose.

I’ve been enjoying watching her help Louie and my cousin organise their wedding. The i***t finally admitted his feelings and they were engaged within a month. I’m a little jealous he is getting married before me but it will happen. I am hoping this gives her the wedding bug or whatever, so she finally says yes to a wedding.

My face nearly f*****g splits in two when I see our ring on her finger and it is f*****g amazing hearing everyone already call her Mrs Rinaldi. She has stopped correcting everyone and just rolls her eyes.

She has a team of people who help her manage the distribution of our products as well as the Russo’s. We now have 3 joint legal ventures with them, including a couple of restaurants, soup kitchens for the less fortunate and distribution/exporting of goods.

Her Italian is finally coming along, she wasn’t lying when she said she wasn’t good with languages. It makes me laugh how bad she truly is. For someone as smart as her, it amazed me that she couldn’t learn a language.

We are still cleaning up the Gabe and Francesco mess. Turns out it was more deeply rooted than we thought, but it is all finally coming to an end and we have certainly made an example of them. We have kept Amore at an arm’s length from all the issues still, she only needs to be safe and happy.

We know Gi and Ma keep her informed on what they think is important. Both Leo and I have had a word with them, but they tell me we are keeping her too much in the dark that she needs to know. Tom stays out of it as always.

“I think she’s waking.” Leo whisper yells, and bounds up the stairs with me in hot pursuit. Our amore can’t wake up without properly being treasured on her birthday!

Kate’s POV

Slowly opening my eyes to my men, trying to quickly slip back into the bedroom makes me laugh. I know they are going to pretend they have been here all alone, they crack me up!

“Happy Birthday Amore”, Landon k****s me gently before pulling back and letting me gaze into those gorgeous eyes.

“Good morning sweetie.”

“Happy Birthday my love”, I looked over to Leo and give him a gentle k**s as well.

My men think they are so clever. I know they have a big day full of surprises for me, but I have the biggest surprise for them and can’t wait! This is going to blow their minds!

Before I can get too in my head and nearly blurt something out, Landon has stripped the sheet of me and positioned himself between my legs as Leo quickly takes my mouth and starts to palm my breasts. HEAVEN!

Leo carries me back out into the bedroom while Landon hands him my clothes for today. We had already picked all our outfits out for the day, so it’s no surprise that Leo starts to dress me as Landon gets dressed in the background.

“Am I not even allowed to dress myself today?”

“Nope. Today is our beautiful princess’s day.”

My mouth is already sore from smiling too much this morning and I am guessing this is the theme for the day… that they know of.

After he has finished dressing me, he gets dressed himself while Landon keeps me busy by kissing me into oblivion. His lips always mould so perfectly into mine and I love the taste of him, whether it is toothpaste, whisky or his favourite gum. He learnt quickly, though no k****s if he had indulged in a cigar. No matter how expensive they are. Gross!

As soon as Leo is ready as well, Landon carries me out the bedroom door and down the stairs. I hate it when they do that!

“I’m…”

“No you’re not and if you say it, I am more than happy to spank your arse on your birthday.”

I finally looked down the stairs and saw a mountain of balloons.

“Holy cow! Put me down. Put me down.” They both laugh as Landon puts me down at the bottom of the stairs.

I seriously just turned into a kid at Christmas. I shuffled through the balloons, hit them at the boys, threw them in the air and turned into a 5 year old for the next 10 minutes. It was so much fun!

My men just laughed and watched me. Well, Landon watched and laughed while Leo joined in and a balloon fight ensued very quickly!

Landon finally cleared his through “Do you want to open your presents now?”

“You mean this isn’t it?” I knew it wasn’t but I would have been more than happy if it was anyway. I could vaguely see a lot of roses around the rooms as well, but only just. I will check that out later.

“You have to find them under the balloons”. Leo winked at me before hitting another balloon at me.

I couldn’t help but squeal in excitement. Did they really hide them?

I know they were being careful around the lounge, so I am guessing they are actually just on the coffee table and I just can’t see them under the balloons… yep I was right. They are so cute.

We cleared the balloons a little to the sides, well, as much as we could so we could sit on the couch and get, to the presents.

I seriously don’t know what else they could give me. I have everything!

I opened the first box. It was a matching necklace to my ring and drop earrings. “Oh I love it!” I gave them both a k**s then went to the next box. It was a bottle of perfume… no! I looked at them both.

“Yes, this is your perfume. The one you worked on with Maxine.” Landon smiled at me proudly.

Maxine came up with the idea about 4 months ago, so we spent the last 3 and a half months going over different fragrances and ingredients since I am allergic to a lot of perfumes. I can’t believe they finished it so quickly and the bottle looked amazing.

I quickly sprayed a little on my wrist. It was exactly what I wanted.

The rest of the presents were a beautiful watch, a dress that they thought I should try on for tonight, and another ring with 3 classic diamonds and intricate art deco metal work on the sides and around the diamonds. It was beautiful, they know me so well.

“We wanted to get you more but knew we would get in trouble,” Leo said with a mock sad face.

I couldn’t help but laugh as I gave him a quick k**s.

“Yes you would have. I feel like my birthday presents to you were not enough now.”

It was Leo’s birthday 2 months ago. We surprised him by taking him away on a yacht for a week. I gave him a watch, neck chain, a picture of all of us together, a life-size Kangaroo toy and some of his favourite cologne. And you know what his favourite toy was? Yes, the Kangaroo, he even tried to bring it to bed that night. It went nearly everywhere with him for the month.

I did it as a joke as he had referenced himself as the Italian Stallion version of the boxing Kangaroo. Why? Who knows with him?

I went and put on my earrings so I could wear my new matching necklace, while still not taking my rose necklace off. I just put a longer chain on it. I know they were very flashy for lunch but I didn’t care.

Everyone met us down at our new Restaurant that my men had closed for lunch for me.

I did my best acting with my surprise to see my family and friends at the restaurant, but didn’t have to act with how happy I was to see them! Oh it was so so good to see them! I have missed them so much!

I was going to try and go back soon as the last few months had been way too hectic. I felt like the worst Aunty in the world as I finally held my new nephew Henry in my arms. He was handsome.

Landon and Leo couldn’t take the smiles off their faces seeing me hold a baby. It was adorable watching them fuss over Henry and Matilda as well though. Matilda recognised Landon and told him a billion stories and even wanted to sit on his lap, to our surprise. That is when Ma went from ecstatic from me holding a baby to nearly having a heart attack from joy.

My heart was nearly exploding from happiness watching everyone talk happily and easily. Finally, my 2 families were together.

After lunch everyone went to go and have a rest. Everyone was staying at Ma’s, there is no way she was letting them stay in a hotel.

My nerves were starting to take over as my surprise was getting closer. We went back home and just relaxed. Some of the balloons had been removed but not many, just enough to make it easier to walk through the house. I tried to relax and we put on the movie to just chill to while I went to the toilet like 50 times thanks to my nerves.

“What’s wrong?” Of course, Landon knew something was up.

“Nothing, just so happy. Can’t wait to see everyone at tea.” He seemed to believe me and kissed me gently before going back to the movie. Leo was out cold next to us snoring away.

Finally, at 4pm, Gi knocked on the door. It was time!

“All right. My turn to have the birthday girl. We are going to get dressed and ready together. See you at the party!” Man, I love her!

I quickly grabbed my new earrings and new necklace again as I took them off when I got home and the dress they think I am wearing tonight.

Luckily, the boys didn’t argue, knowing it was probably worthless to try. I gave them both a deep k**s good-bye and we quickly left.

“We all good?” I asked as we got in the car.

“Yep! Tom has kept Ma busy and everyone is at Louie’s waiting.”

The only people that know about today are Gi, Louiee, Tom, Kylie, Nathan, Mia and, of course, the staff.

We arrived at Louie’s house to a flurry of people. Kylie and Mia were getting their hair done already and 2 seats were set up ready for Gi and I. We had sent a team of people to get Ma, my mum, sister and sister-in-law ready, telling them I just wanted them all to be spoiled as well on my day for the big tea.

Ma wanted to have a large tea here with everyone and anyone, to which I said yes. I have organised for it to be just a bit extra special.

Yes, I decided to marry my man today. Unfortunately, my marriage to Leo won’t be official, but Don Michele has said yes to us doing our vows as well.

I didn’t ever think I would get the whole, you know when you know, but I do. I know these men are mine for the rest of my life, so what was I waiting for?

“Good luck sis.” Louie gives me a big hug before grabbing the rings and heads off to make sure Landon and Leo are getting ready.

I made sure tonight was a black tie event so they didn’t question a few choices I was making.

At 5.30pm Ma, Mum, Lucy, Mandy arrive with the kids.

“Welcome ladies. If you will please follow me.” I heard Kylie say to them as she brings them to the guest bedroom where I was looking at my dress. I couldn’t possibly put on my dress without my mum here and I know Ma would never forgive me if I did it without her as well.

I stand beside the dress while the ladies that are here to help me into it stand back.

It’s a beautiful spaghetti-strapped lace fit and flare dress. The silk underneath is a very light pink with white lace over the top. It was everything I had ever imagined.

They all stop dead when they see the dress and me standing next to it in a robe with a massive smile on my face. “Surprise! I’m getting married today.”

Ma squeals “My daughter!” and runs at me, kissing my cheeks numerous times, then making sure she hasn’t ruined my make-up.

Mum takes a moment as the tears start to flow down her face before she finally walks over and gives me a bone-crushing hug! “Congratulations!” My mother whispers into my hair.

“Mum, please don’t cry. Luckily, I made sure the make-up artists stayed around in case we needed touch-ups.” I laughed.

“It’s so beautiful!” Matilda is beaming as she looks at the dress like it is a proper princess dress, well I suppose that is what wedding dresses sort of are.

Mandy and Lucy gave me a hug together.

“You are so dodgy!” Lucy laughs at me and mum smacks her arm lightly with a disapproving look.

I turned to the ladies and nodded. They help me into the dress with mum and now Ma is blubbering in the background.

I have Mum put on my necklace and Ma help me with my earrings. They all work perfectly with the dress.
