Chapter 166

Jonathan's expression changed slightly, with a hint of barely noticeable anger in his eyes. "What are you trying to say?"

Preston knew he had guessed right. He felt like he was on an emotional rollercoaster. "So, you really did break up. Since you're no longer together, you have no right to interfere with me pursuing her." "Preston!" Jonathan called. Preston seemed to regain his calm. I smiled at Jonathan, a small dimple appearing on his left cheek, looking bright and cheerful.

"Uncle, I know what you're getting at, but if I don't mind that she's been married, why would I care that she used to date you? I missed out on her past, but I promise to be there for her future, Preston said. Jonathan seemed really angry. He stood up abruptly and shouted, "Preston, do you realize your reckless behavior could put her in danger?"

"I don't understand. How does my liking Cynthia cause her harm?" Preston stood up too, eyes filled with determination and resolve.

"Uncle, you know me. There's one thing we share-we don't give up until we achieve our goals. I won't let your objections hold me back. If anything, it'll make me even more determined to pursue this." Preston realized there was no need to continue talking with Jonathan. He had already fully understood the situation. So, he just got up

and went to the tent

Jonathan stood there, feeling a burning anger inside. He knew Preston's character. On the surface, Preston seemed cheerful and warm, making people feel comfortable. But deep down, he had a fierce stubbornness-once he set his mind to something, nothing could change it

However, there were many things he couldn't share with Preston openly. Preston had never witnessed Whitney's cruelty and madness. In his view, despite her strictness, she was still a good mother.

Preston was raised by a single parent, having almost no contact with his biological father from a young age. Although he was rebellious, deep down, he truly loved Whitney.

Therefore, the dark side of the family and the things Whitney had done in the past were kept from him with a mutual understanding. They just hoped he could grow up to be bright and cheerful. Jonathan sat in the darkness all night. That night, everyone had their own thoughts and agendas.

In the morning, the drone arrived right on time. Its enthusiastic mechanical voice came through. "Another beautiful day has started. Please follow me to the beach for your breakfast." The live room buzzed with activity as it opened.

[Wow, wow, wow, so many people! Did anyone else stay up all right like me?]

The production team finally showed some kindness by providing breakfast for everyone.

[She's out, she's out, our Cynthia looks so beautiful without makeup, Cynthia is stunning me.] [What's with Nina's red eyes? Did she cry? Who bullied our darling Nina?]

Do we even need to ask? It must be because Jonathan didn't vote for her, and she's heartbroken.]

What's up with Abby? Why is her face swollen like that?]

Soon.

all six of them gathered together. In front of them were six lunch boxes. The drone circled above them and cheekily 10:32 Fri, Nov 8 D

said, "Inside the boxes are different breakfasts, but three of the boxes are empty.

"Now, please choose your breakfast box. No sharing is allowed, or the production team won't provide lunch. Good luck to everyone.

[It's just a few seconds, and the show producers are at it again)

[Six boxes, three are empty,

half of the people don't have breakfast. What's the point of this setup?] [Pure madness, this feels like a prank show rather than a dating show.] [Director, we just want to see sweet romance, not you torturing the guests.] [Jason, where do you live? My kitchen knives have a message for you.]

Controversy keeps arising in the live room. The six guests on the beach seem to be lost in their own thoughts, no longer concerned with the show's bizarre stunts. Each guest picked their box in order as instructed and then opened them.

Jonathan found eggs and corn in his box. Nina's box contained a sandwich and a bottle of mineral water. Alex's box had a simple rice ball and a bottle of milk.

Cynthia, Preston, and Abby chose the three empty boxes. Abby hadn't eaten dinner the night before and had been beaten up by Cynthia in the middle of the night. Her body was already at its limit.

Desperate to eat, she lost it when she saw her box was empty. She threw the box in frustration and broke down into tears, crouching and holding her face. There were lots of sympathetic comments in the live room.

Preston saw that he got an empty box and wasn't disappointed at all. He walked straight over to Cynthia. Then he flashed a big, bright smile and said, "Cynthia, look at that, we're so in sync, we chose the same box."

Cynthia rolled her eyes, not bothering to respond. But then Preston leaned in close to her ear and said, "Cynthia, are you hungry? I've got something good. Do you dare to try it?"

Intrigued, Cynthia turned her head to look at Preston, curiosity shining in her eyes. Preston took her by the hand and said, "Come with me."

Cynthia was momentarily stunned but then brushed Preston's hand away, saying, "Preston, show me a bit more respect." Preston just chuckled and said, "I can't help it, I like you, Cynthia His voice was playful. Cynthia could only sigh in resignation but ended up following him anyway.

All of this was noticed by Jonathan. His eyes were brooding, like indelible ink.

Meanwhile, Preston led Cynthia to the middle of the tent. There was a bonfire burning in the center, with a grill set up over it. On the grill was a giant snake sizzling away

Preston said, "I thought the crew wouldn't provide breakfast, so 1 prepared something early

Cynthia glanced at Preston in shock, "Did you roast this snake?"

"Yeah, didn't you ask me to take care of it yesterday?" Preston replied a bit upset, "I spent two hours on it."

Cynthia looked at Preston with a bit of admiration, "Preston, when I asked you to take care of it, I just meant to throw it into the woods, not to skin, debone, and roast it over a fire."

Preston paused for a moment, "I thought that's what you meant

Cynthia sat down, "Well, it's roasted, so let's have it for breakfast then. Go get the leftover seasonings from yesterday. Adding

wild onions on top might make it taste better."

In the live room. JOMG, that's a snake! It looks as if they are grilling fish. J

[Cynthia's chill vibe is unmatched]

[But seriously, how did a snake show up last night? Did we miss something?I

I can't imagine little bro taking down a snakell

Meanwhile, Preston had brought over the seasoning. Last night, Jonathan made a special mix using some herbs, wild onions, and coconut oil. When it was brushed on the snake meat, it smelled incredibly delicious. Soon, it was ready. Cynthia tore off a piece and started eating with Preston.

Abby was drawn in by the tempting aroma. She was alreadly feeling dizzy from hunger when she caught a whiff of something unusually delicious,

Looking over, she saw Preston and Cynthia enjoying some barbecue. She couldn't tell what kind of meat it was, but it was torn into pieces and smelled absolutely mouthwatering.

Abby's mind was too foggy from hunger to think clearly. She was quite afraid of Cynthia, so she acted pitifully with Preston, "Preston, I didn't have dinner last night and I'm starving. Could you spare me a little?"

Preston, being generous, handed her the biggest piece right away. Abby was starving and devoured the meat eagerly.

Halfway through her meal, she finally asked, "Preston, what kind of meat is this? It's really tasty."

Preston replied leisurely. "It's snake meat. It's from the king cobra that was in your tent yesterday."
