Upon hearing this, Jonathan frowned and asked, "What did you say?"

Nina immediately pulled open her collar. "Mr. Bennett, aren't these marks from you?" Tears of stubbornness filled Nina's eyes. "You were drunk. I won't blame you or force you to take responsibility, but you can't just trample on me." Jonathan noticed the red marks on her neck. He just glanced at them, then turned his gaze away. Finally, Jonathan understood what Nina was thinking.

He calmly said. "Last night, it was Alex, not me."

Nina suddenly looked up, her expression changing dramatically. She showed a look of disbelief. After a long silence of more than ten seconds, she asked with a trembling voice, "Mr. Bennett, what did you say?"

Last night, Jonathan felt a hint of reluctance. But now, he was calm as still water. "Alex works for Whitney. From the very beginning, the plan was for her to get close to you."

Jonathan looked at her as if he had been struck by lightning and sighed deeply, "Last night, Cynthia saved you. She arrived just in time, so Alex didn't cause you any irreversible harm."

Nina understood what Jonathan meant, but she couldn't accept this outcome. Her body was covered in kiss marks from head to toe, even in the most private areas.

She couldn't accept that the person who marked her was anyone other than Jonathan. She collapsed to the ground, shaking violently

"How could this happen? Why did it have to be this way?" Nina fell to the ground, covering her face as she cried her heart

oul.

The noise drew someone from the next room. Jessie came over looking confused about what was happening.

In no time, Preston rushed over too. But he wasn't worried about Nina's heart-wrenching cries. Instead, he directly told Jonathan, "Mr. Bennett, Cynthia is missing." Jonathan quickly turned his head. "She is missing? What do you mean? Didn't I tell you to stay with her and not leave her side

Jonathan understood their current situation. Having Cynthia stay with Preston was undoubtedly the safest choice. He wasn't sure what Whitney might do in her craziness. Preston looked anxious and said, "Cynthia said she was going to the restroom, but I've been waiting outside for ages and haven't seen her. Instead, I found this in the hallway." Preston was holding a necklace. Jonathan immediately recognized it. It was Cynthia's frequently worn four-leaf clover

necklace.

Jonathan felt his temples pulsing and his breathing became rapid. He had a strong feeling that something had happened to Cynthia.

He quickly ran to the door. As he reached it, he said to Jessie. "Keep an eye on Nina, don't let her do anything rash." Then he hurriedly left the room.

Preston followed him. Jessie didn't understand why Jonathan would say such things. But seeing Nina crying and shaking, her eyes swollen, Jessie knew something serious had happened. Preston looked at Jonathan's expression and felt uneasy. Jonathan asked him, "How long has she been thissing?"

Chapter 195

Preston replied, "About half an hour."

But Jonathan was furious. "Why did it take you half an hour to tell me she was missing?"

Preston seemed a bit puzzled. "Maybe she just got lost. Jonathan, why are you so worried?"

976%0

That was exactly what Preston thought. He wasn't worried Cynthia would encounter any problems. The place was too big Cynthia most likely took the wrong path.

But it wasn't anything serious. Jonathan didn't know how to explain it to Preston.

He quickly found the butler and asked, "Where's Cynthia now?"

The old butler wore a gentle smile. "I haven't seen Ms. Jones."

Jonathan suddenly grabbed the old butler's suit collar. "Let me ask you again, where are you hiding her?"

"I really don't know. The old butler's smile didn't change a bit, showing no sign of panic, but that made it all the creepier. "What about Whitney?" Jonathan had a feeling that Cynthia's disappearance was somehow related to Whitney. The old burler replied. "I have no idea where she is, either."

Jonathan realized he wouldn't get anything out of the butler, but he noticed the butler holding a car key. It seemed like he'd just gotten back from somewhere.

Jonathan snatched the key and dashed outside.

Preston followed him. Jonathan found the car, and once inside, Preston jumped into the passenger seat too.

Preston knew Jonathan very well. He wasn't the type to lose his composure like this. Something significant must have happened to make him so nervous. "Jonathan, you don't need to worry so much. My mom would never hurt Cynthia."

Previously, Jonathan advised him to stop getting close to Cynthia. He said Whitney would never accept Cynthia, and doing so could even put Cynthia's life at risk.

But Preston didn't think it was that serious. Maybe Whitney wouldn't agree, but she would never harm Cynthia because of it. Even though his mother was strict, to him, she was still the person who loved him most. Jonathan's voice was cold. "So you better hope your mother hasn't taken action yet."

"Jonathan, you misunderstand my mom. She's your own sister. How can you see her that way?"

Jonathan remained silent. The car sped down the road.

All along the way, Jonathan had the map of the island on his mind. Suddenly, he recalled there was a large theater on the island.

His sister was crazy about the drama. He remembered when he was very young. Whitney was always playing drama in the backyard, performing "Hamlet",

She always

swore the drama costume and repeated the words. "The rest is silence. To be, or not to be, that is the question."

As a child, Jonathan loved sneaking peeks at Whitney playing onstage. She performed vividly, full of spirit and energy, but for some reason, she would always have a breakdown by the end of her performance. 10:58 Mon, Nov 11

Later on, Arthur decided to dismantle the family stage. He wouldn't let her play at home anymore.

Everyone thought she had gotten better. But she had actually become even more obsessed. She supported countless. renowned actors and set up numerous stages just to continue her endless performances of "Hamlet".

Of course. Jonathan had just found out about this. Claude got the information from John while looking into Alex, so Jonathan had a feeling that Whitney would be there.

The theater was quite far from the villa, with a twisting mountain road in between. After some time, he finally arrived at a grand theater that resembled a birdcage. As soon as the car stopped, Jonathan dashed inside. He happened to see Whitney and Cynthia just coming out.
