Catelyn listened to the both of them insulting her, responding to each other in such seamless synchrony, her face spasming

She was planning to ignore them, but they were too excited, and she felt that she had to say something.

"My taste might not be the most outstanding, but I am much better than the gold diggers. By the way, I forgot to ask you, did you delete all the videos with Ivan online?"

Amy choked and immediately looked dangerous.

She walked in front of Catelyn and hunched slightly, lowering her mouth to Catelyn's ear.

"Don't you be too condescending about it. Even if the videos have all been exposed, the company will protect Uncle Ivan and me. Once this issue passes, the director and Uncle Ivan will not let you get away with it!"

"Are you done?" Catelyn looked at her lazily. "I will go to the bathroom. You take your time."

She took out the tourmaline and placed it back in the tray.

She saw the sales associate's judging expression, but she would not buy it even if she had the money.

If she made her purchase, she would be contributing to her sales performance!

However, as soon as Catelyn reached the exit of the jewelry store, the store alarm rang.

The red lights above the door were shining in bright red light.

The sales associates were alerted. This meant that someone attempted to bring the gemstones out of the store without paying for them!

"Quick, someone is stealing!"

The sales associate called the security guard.

Catelyn and a few other customers were detained.

A few other customers were starting to grumble about the situation. Amy and her sidekick suddenly appeared and pointed their fingers at Catelyn. "It's her! I saw with my own eyes that when she reached the door, the alarm sounded! She is the thief!"

"Don't you simply accuse her for it. She may be poor, but she has dignity." Amy covered her mouth and laughed.

Even though it sounded like she was defending Catelyn, her tone made it sound like Catelyn was the suspicious one.

Soon, they examined the rest of the customers, the items on them were all paid for.

Everyone's gaze fell upon Catelyn.

"I did not steal, and I am not a thief," Catelyn said and then took a glance at the alarm.

"Perhaps the alarm is faulty, or I have a bracelet myself that the security system wrongly identified?"

"Impossible. Our security alarm will only react to specified items," The sales associate denied, "Madam, to prove your innocence, please hand over your handbag, and follow us to the changing room for a thorough examination."

Catelyn was about to nod but realized her bag's zipper was loose.

A shining diamond ring was placed in her bag.

Catelyn realized she had fallen into their trap again.

She moved her hand back so that no one could see the item in her bag.

"Are you suspecting me because I am foreign? Let me repeat it one more time. I did not steal. Get your manager here. I demand to take a look at the surveillance footage."

The sales associate frowned, "The manager is out for the examination. Madam, please do not force us to take forceful action."

"She is guilty. Otherwise, why would she not allow you to examine her bag..."

Amy was over the moon. She wanted to see how else Catelyn could get out of it!

She could not lay a finger on her in the office, but they were out at the mall now. Even if something happened to Catelyn, William could not blame Amy for it.

The two security guards walked to Catelyn. Catelyn was about to take her black card out to threaten them when the manager came back.
