'I'm just afraid you'll get into trouble and affect Catelyn and me indirectly. The doctor says you should quit drinking and smoking," said Cedrick as he glanced at Edwin indifferently.

Edwin had been refraining from smoking and drinking as he yearned to be a father.

"Why are you hiding from me?" Cedrick wrapped his arms around Catelyn, pressing her toward the elevator wall.

'I wasn't avoiding you," replied Catelyn nervously.

Cedrick pinched her jaw with his two fingers, lifting her head up. She had no choice but to look him straight in the eye.

He sneered, "You say that, but you pretend not to see me earlier."

Cedrick stared at Catelyn intently. Seeing the panic in her eyes, he was more certain now than ever.

She really was avoiding him!
