"I was really hoping that the fight just now would make Dad have some sort of reaction...” Anne became teary. "I knew I was his daughter. The feeling of wanting to be close to him is not fake.” "He'll wake up. He surely will," Sarah said, "but shouldn't you be managing his company now? Anne, do well. Ill look after Dad.”

"When Dad wakes up, I'll return the company and other property to him,” Anne said.

She did not want those things, and she just wanted her father to wake up.

"Mom, you haven't eaten yet, right? I'll buy you some food.”

"After the crazy incident, I'm starving,” Sarah said.

"We still need to eat."

Anne went out to buy Sarah food and called Robert to talk about visiting the company.

Robert said he would bring Anne to the company the next day.

Before Nigel's accident, Anne had never been to the company because of Dorothy and Bianca, and she knew to avoid arousing suspicion.

The next morning, Anne went to the hospital to visit Nigel. "Dad, I'm going to work at the company for the first time today, and I'm a little nervous. Can you give me some words of encouragement?” Nigel did not respond.

Anne hid her disappointment and forced a smile. "It's okay. I'll work hard so that you'll be impressed by me when you wake up, Dad."

Anne followed Robert to the company.

In the morning, Anne had a tour of the various departments.

Anne looked around Nigel's office and found that he still had unfinished work on the table.

This was the part Anne could not understand. Nigel obviously came back to Luton for Bianca, so why did he give her the company?

Bianca did not even have a stake in it.

It simply did not make sense...

There was a knock on the office door, and a man came in. Then, Robert introduced, “This is Mr. Faye's assistant, Ken Winston. Mr. Faye recruited him when he returned to Luton. If it's inconvenient for you, you can hire another female assistant. It's fine, as the workload is getting heavier, and Mr. Faye intends to hire another assistant.”

"I'll think about it.” Anne was not familiar with anything yet, so it was better for her to understand the company's core first.

"Okay. Mr. Winston knows most about Mr. Faye's company, so you can ask him..."

Anne tried to familiarize herself with the company all morning, and she was only done when it was almost lunchtime. Then, she went straight to the hospital and had lunch with Sarah in the ward. "Why didn't you treat your employees to lunch? You should foster a good relationship with them so they won't be too hard on you.” Sarah taught her.

"Treating them to lunch on my first day would seem too intentional, but I happened to learn that the sales department has performed well recently, and I'll use this reason to treat everyone to a meal later,” Anne said.
