Chapter 733

Ashlynn returned to her senses and realized she was not hurt.

It was because she was startled that she lost her balance.

She squatted down to pick up the contracts scattering on the floor. Ms. Vallois was still waiting for her.

“Is everything all right?” A man with a low voice said as he helped her to pick up the contracts. “It's fine.” Ashlynn was fine, so she did not want to guilt trip anyone. The man gave her the contracts he had picked up. He had a large, slender, good-looking hand with a valuable wristwatch. Ashlynn took the contract, looked up, and said, “Thank you...... Ah!"

She shrieked and sat down on the ground. The contract in her hand once again scattered all over the place.

However, Ashlynn could not care less. It was as if her soul had left her as she looked at the man in front of her. Her face was pale, and she was trembling all over.

Corentin was puzzled. “What's wrong with you?”

“No... This is impossible... You're dead...” Ashlynn was trembling so hard that she was unable to form a sentence. She looked at the man in horror as she moved her body backward.

"Do you know me?” Corentin felt even more puzzled and moved closer forward.

“Don’t come near me, don't come any closer!” Ashlynn shouted in fright.

Corentin stood still and looked at her. “Alright, I'm not coming any closer. You will affect other people's cars from coming in and out if you block the way. Would you get up first?”

Ashlynn could not care less if she blocked the way. Instead, her eyes locked on the man.

He had an almost identical face to the nightmare she tried so hard to forget. Now it appeared without a sign, making her terrified and uneasy.

The driver standing at the back said, “Mr. Lloyd, let me handle it. Please get into the car first.” Corentin glanced at Ashlynn, frowned slightly, and returned to the car silently.

The driver's attitude was not as polite. “What's the matter with you? If you're not hurt, just go away! Why are you blocking the way? Do you know who you are running into? How dare you? It's fortunate as Mr. Lloyd is nice and doesn’t mind. Hurry up and leave!”

Ashlynn finally regained her composure after Corentin was no longer in front of her. She picked up the contract on the ground in a panic.

She turned around and walked away, although her body was still trembling.

She did not dare to look inside the car.

After walking for quite some distance, she turned back and realized the black Bintley was already out of sight.

The strength in Ashlynn’s body seemed to have been drained away, and her eyes still seemed terrified.

“Mr. Lloyd? His surname was Lloyd?"

“Wasn't that her dead husband, Salvatore?"

Why did he look so much like him if it was not him? He just dressed differently and wore glasses. Apart from that, they looked exactly the same.

Could two different people look so identical?

“Ms. Thompson.”

Ashlynn, who was lost in thought, was startled and turned back to see Anne walking over.

Anne looked at her face as if she was frightened and asked with a smile, “You sure get startled easily?”

“No, no, it's my fault. Is this the one?” Ashlynn said, handing over the contract.

“Right.” Anne flipped through it. “You can go back now!”

“Okay.” Ashlynn then turned around and left.

Ashlynn was unable to stay focused even after she returned to the office.

She had been thinking about the man she saw at the hospital.

She was so afraid. Could that be the wicked man Salvatore?

No, it could not be. Her nightmares had disappeared for a long time.

The police had informed her personally that his death sentence had been executed, and she had gone to the police station to collect his stuff.

Although she tried to calm herself with the thought, she was still uneasy.

When she returned to her rental house after work, her toy poodle was curling up on her bed.

Its head raised at the sound of movement.
