Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies -
Chapter 986
Chapter 986
Finding a chance to end the subject, Bianca said, “Sure. I will arrange two seats in the VIP sections for you.
She tried her best to suppress the frustration boiling within her. Though she really wanted Anthony to stay with her, she knew that Anthony was in a hurry to go home to Anne, and no one could ever change Anthony's mind on anything.
After dinner, Anthony left early.
“Uncle, when did Anthony arrive in Athetin?” Bianca asked.
"Yesterday morning. You didn't know?” Corentin asked with the glass in hand.
“I've been quite busy and have not seen him all that frequently. It's just... think I told you about Anne's car accident before and Anthony has not been paying me much attention since,” she said. She wanted to use Corentin to get Anthony back. Corentin did not seem to be aware of the fact that Bianca was not Nigel's daughter by blood, or he would not have invited her to lunch with Anthony, it was clearly Corentin’s attempt in trying to give her an opportunity to talk to Anthony.
"Ever since my mom passed, I needed Anthony more than ever...” Bianca said gloomily. “Uncle, can you help me? I can't live without Anthony. At least Anne has her children!”
“I can't help with relationships, but you have an advantage over other women, so I don't think that Anthony would be too cold to you,” Corentin said calmly.
“I know that Anthony loves me. Had it not been for the triplets, I would have been Mrs. Marwood by now,” she said confidently.
Her mother had once mentioned that children were the
Achilles’ heels, but Bianca had not been successful in her efforts to bear Anthony's child.
“There will always be chances as long as you are alive,” Corentin said, before getting up from his seat. “I'll be there at night.”
Bianca watched as Corentin disappeared into the distance, feeling motivated by his words.
“That's right. I won't give up,’ she thought. “With Anne losing most of her memories now, she isn't a match for me!"
By the time Anthony returned to the Royal Mansion, Anne was taking an afternoon nap on the master bedroom bed with the children.
He called for the maids to carry the triplets out and removed his jacket, before tossing it aside and sitting down by the bed.
His shadow loomed over Anne's face.
Sensing the eyes on her, Anne dazedly opened her eyes and spotted the man sitting next to her “Anthony... Anthony, you are back?!” She sat up.
He felt a tickle in his chest at her soft voice and pulled her closer. “Did I wake you? Hm?"
“No...” Anne had not expected to wake up to him appearing beside her in such a surprising manner. "Are you done with work already?”
“I left it with others to follow up on it.” Anthony could not remain in Athetin forever until he found Lilian.
Anne did not ask if Anthony was with Bianca and tried to brush everything off as a coincidence. She felt increasingly like a housewife who waited for her husband to return home every day, not knowing what to expect.
“What have you been doing at home the past two days?” Anthony asked gently, like a father who returned home asking if his children had been good.
“Nothing much apart from staying with the kids. I dropped by the office this morning and came home for lunch, and just stayed in to take a nap with the kids...” It was at that moment that Anne remembered that she went to sleep with the children next to her, while she was alone in bed at the moment. “Where are they?”
“They are old enough to sleep on their own,” Anthony said.
“They are just two...” Anne protested.
“Even if they are two,” he said, before planting a kiss on her lips.
She lowered her chin shyly as her chest swelled.
There was still hope for her as long as Anthony returned to her and they were still a family as long as she could see him.
The next day, Anthony returned to the Archduke Group after having breakfast with his family.
Anne went down the stairs with the children and saw him off.
