The stairs made several turns before reaching the second floor. A wide and well-lit hallway led to numerous rooms with gyms and foam floors visible through large windows on both sides of the wall.

We headed towards the only unoccupied room, although not entirely empty. In that space, stood a man unfamiliar to me but notably fit, in his sixties, with an immaculate appearance. His muscles were evident even under his shirt, and his short hair exhibited a touch of gray, accompanied by a small streak of white.

“Welcome, ladies,” his deep voice resonated in the spacious room, catching the audience by surprise.

The man turned towards us, and my heart skipped a beat as I saw his face, which seemed strangely familiar. His eyes, a vivid blue almost bordering on white, felt familiar, resembling both mine and Axel’s.

Could it be possible that we are related? I furrowed my brow, noting an altered version of Axel’s face.

“Well, you guessed quickly,” he chuckled with a resonating laughter, distinct from the Axel I knew. “Yes, indeed. I’m your grandfather’s brother.”

“My grandfather?” I responded with a nod, momentarily at a loss for words. The surprise made me speak without filter. “Thomas used to say he was an idiot.”

There was a momentary pause as he looked into my eyes before replying. “Mm, yes, he was an i***t,” he nodded with a broad smile. “It seems like the sense of humor in our family skips a generation or two.”

“It skipped Axel, didn’t it?” I asked sarcastically, unable to contain myself as the man burst into laughter. “Oh, I wish I had met you before. My name is Rick,” he said as his laughter subsided. “So, I heard you need some training. Did you think white wolves were invincible?”

“I wouldn’t say invincible,” I shrugged, “besides, learning to fight never hurt anyone.”

“You’re right,” he nodded as he walked towards the front of the room. “Alright, start stretching, and we’ll begin in ten minutes.”

“I take it back. Learning to fight has hurt some people, especially me,” I grumbled and lay down on the foam floor. My training clothes were soaked with sweat, and I would swear there was a puddle forming around my trembling body. Aly lay down beside me, resting her head on her hand.

“I don’t see you as a quitter, Luna,” she comforted, showing a smile. “Oh, I’m not giving up,” I shook my head. “Complaining? Yes, quite a bit,” I admitted, and she understood me perfectly.

She nodded, “Werewolves start their training from a very young age. Your human life has left you completely out of shape.”

“Don’t remind me,” I grumbled, refusing to move from my comfortable spot on the mat. My muscles were throbbing and sore, just like the rest of my body. We had trained for almost three hours and then Rick sent us downstairs to lift some weights. We reconvened on the second floor to talk about the plan for tomorrow.

The only consolation of today’s training was that my lack of coordination seemed to have improved significantly. I no longer stumbled over my own feet and could block a punch quite well after a few failed attempts. I had to admit, Aly had a mean punch.

“Oh, hello, Alpha,” Aly’s voice was full of contained laughter, “looks like the training went well.”

Liam’s laughter made me quickly get up and smooth down my disheveled hair. Liam was wearing a simple black shirt that clung to every delicious curve and groove of his body. The sight was tempting, and for a moment, I had all sorts of bold thoughts. My tongue traced my lower l*p as I wondered if he’d allow me to explore his muscles with something more than just my fingers. It seemed like he was also intrigued by the idea.

“Well, I’ll see you tomorrow, ladies. Bright and early,” Rick chuckled, patting me on the back. “It was nice to finally meet you, Sussan.”

“It was a pleasure to meet you too, Rick,” I returned the smile, feeling the warm affection he radiated towards me. Rick was genuinely happy to meet me, and I was thrilled to feel the love he already had for me. It was amazing how, since leaving behind my human life, I had finally found my true family. Liam, Ethan, Aly, and even the twins’ parents—they were all my family.

Rick left with a final wave, and I turned my gaze back to my partner’s dazzling smile. “I have to say, I’m liking this look,” Liam purred, drawing me into his arms. He buried his face in the hollow of my sweaty neck and took a deep breath. “Mm, you smell good.”

“I smell like sweat,” I snorted, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “And I think you smell delicious.”

With a smile, Liam rolled his plush lower l*p between his teeth and leaned in even closer, causing my heart to race in response. “I wonder if you taste as good as you smell.”

A shiver ran through my body as his tongue touched my earlobe, releasing the emotions that had been contained until that moment.

“Well, I think that’s my cue to leave,” Aly interrupted, clearing her throat. Although she tried to keep a serious expression, she couldn’t hide the mischievous glint in her eyes. Just before leaving, she called from the door, “Oh, in case you were wondering, that door over there leads to a very large and spacious lounge. See you tomorrow, Sussan!”

“Liam, not very subtle, huh?” I snorted, noticing that the intense emotions hadn’t diminished at all. They were like threads of desire that wrapped around me and caressed my skin. I felt tempted to give in, losing resistance to the burning desire emanating from Liam.

“Maybe we should go back to the house,” I suggested, panting as his mischievous smile teased me. “I thought you were sore, honey?” He whispered in a seductive voice, stirring a mixture of excitement and heat. “You looked a little worn out on the floor.”

My legs tensed involuntarily as the heat spread through my body. I looked at him with a narrowed gaze and replied suggestively, “I can handle whatever you throw my way, Liam.” I let my fingers play with the edges of his shirt, causing him to gently push me against the mirrored wall. His warm breath caressed my face as his lips followed the trail along my jawline, sending sparks across my skin.

The intense desire from Liam merged with mine until our emotions blended into one. I only knew that I wanted him, every inch of him, and in that moment, we became one. The initial discomfort was quickly overshadowed by the burning and pleasure as his lips traveled across my body.

“When I’m done with you, I might have to take you out of the building, darling,” he whispered in my ear, his fingers caressing my exposed stomach.

“I must admit, this outfit makes me think of all kinds of things.”

“Really?” I gasped as his fingers brushed lightly against me, igniting a growing excitement between my legs.

“Screw the house. I don’t have the patience to wait that long; I’d end up taking you in the car. I think we should check out that living room,” he growled deeply, clearly sensing the mounting desire between us. His large hands wrapped around my waist and lifted me in the air, further intensifying the passion that enveloped us.
