Anthea asked, "Did the school punish her?"

Holly shook her head and answered, "It hasn't been announced yet. But it's obvious. She has been suspended until now! I guess she will get a major demerit or be expelled from school directly. After all, all the students and teachers in the school heard the news that day!"

"You have missed so many wonderful things in school these two days!" Alexandria came over and said.

"What do you mean?" Anthea asked curiously.

Alexandria rubbed her hands and continued, "Kyla has now become a topic of gossip. Of course, everyone is mocking and scolding her! But she is really thick-skinned. She is suspended, but she still dared to go to school openly!"

"I also heard from her classmates that Kyla had paid visits to almost every teacher in the whole high school. In private, Kyla even went to her class tutor's home with all her relatives. "She deserves it!" Alexandria snorted, and the other two roommates also had an expression of approval.

Alexandria looked around the ward and couldn't help asking, "Are you in the hospital alone? I only see a nurse here. Don't you have any family to accompany you?"

"No, my parents are in the town. I don't want them to worry about me, so I didn't tell them!" Anthea shook her head. Then she bit her lip and said softly, "But, my uncle was with me during the surgery. He was in the hospital last night."

At the thought of Adam's crossed long legs and his statue-like posture, she blushed and her long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings.

"That's good!" Alexandria nodded and comforted her. "When I was in junior high school, I also had appendicitis. Fortunately, it was just a minor surgery. Don't worry!"

They had talked for a long time, and it was already late at night. Holly took a look at the clock and gasped, "Oh, it's almost nine o'clock! Anthea, we have to go now, or there will be no bus!"

"You will be discharged from the hospital in a week, won't you?" She asked.

Anthea nodded. "Yes, that's what the nurse said!"

"Okay, we'll come to see you again in two days! Take care of yourself!"

After Anthea sent off her three roommates, the ward became quiet again.

The nurse had come back from the nurse station with some prescription medicine for Anthea and then she went to get a folding bed.

Thinking about the conversation with her roommates just now, Anthea took out her phone from under the pillow and quickly made a phone call. After she got through, she quickly pressed her ear on the screen. "Hello, uncle."

"What's wrong?" Adam asked her.

It seemed that he was smoking. Anthea could hear his long and even breathing.

"Are you sleeping?" Anthea asked tentatively.

"I'm going to sleep," Adam answered. "Do you need anything?"

"Nothing. It's just that I feel a little bored in the hospital alone!" Anthea pinched the white sheet on the edge of the bed and said casually, "When will you come to the hospital to see me?"

Yesterday, Adam sent her to the hospital for surgery and stayed with her all night. Of course, she knew that it was impossible for him to guard her day and night. So this morning, when he was leaving, she didn't ask him to stay.

Adam said lightly, "The nurse can take care of you, so I don't need to go to the hospital."

"Well," Anthea whispered with her eyes rolling. "I want to read comic books and the bookstore near the school sells them. The nurse doesn't know anything about it. Can you by me two books and send them over?"

Hearing no response from the other side of the phone, she pursed her lips and continued pitifully, "When I turned over today, my wound was accidentally torn, and it hurts a little."

Adam kept silent for two seconds and said in a low voice, "I'll go to see you tomorrow morning."

After hanging up the phone, Anthea smiled so happily that the corners of her mouth almost twisted to her ear. After the nurse came back, she urged her to turn off the light.... "One drop, two drops, three drops..."

The blazing sun lit up the ward. Anthea rested one

hand under her head and looked up at the infusion bag, counting the liquid that was dripping every two seconds. Her ears were erected, listening to the movements outside all the time.

It was almost ten o'clock, and Adam still didn't show up.

He was a soldier!

But he broke his words and was not punctual at all!

Anthea was complaining in her mind. When someone knocked on the door of the ward, she looked over with joy.

The word "uncle" was frozen at the tip of her tongue. She was stunned and then frowned. "Why are you here?"

Her good mood was instantly ruined.

It was not Adam or the nurse, but Kyla, who was wearing a school uniform. Holding a bunch of chrysanthemums in her hand, Kyla went to Anthea's bedside. "Anthea, I heard that you were hospitalized, so I came to see you!"

Anthea didn't expect that the person who she had just talked about with her roommates yesterday would come to her ward the next day!
