"It couldn't be her. That's impossible! I am nothing more than a mean idiot who means nothing to her," Rocky replied before letting out a loud chuckle—a facade he constantly kept up whenever Isis was around.

"I don't believe it. Mr. Bai, it's not that difficult to understand why all the women flock towards you like moths to a flame or bees to honey,” Laney replied earnestly, the sympathy in her eyes clear as daylight.

"If that's what you believe, so be it. I ought to get going now,” Rocky replied with a grin on his face and a shrug of his shoulder.

"Alright then... Would you like to help tuck me in for the night, Mr. Bai? I'm so exhausted right now that I can barely take a single step,” Laney asked as she blushed—the nerves from earlier were still lingering on her skin.

"Aren't you afraid I'll hurt you?" Rocky—fully aware of his flirtatious ways—teased with a cheeky grin.

"I don't think you will,” Laney uttered seductively. She knew Rocky wasn't the type of person who took advantage of anyone, so she knew that being with him wasn't a huge mistake—for now, at least.

Rocky laughed out loud. Cradling Laney in a sweet embrace through the sheer curtain, he gently laid her down on the bed. "Miss Laney,” he began, "it is a great honor to know you fancy me. Unfortunately, I have other important matters to attend to right now. I'm sorry to disappoint you.” Without a second to lose, he immediately turned around and left.

"Who are you, Rocky? No one can seduce you—not even me." Laney told herself as she stared at Rocky intriguingly.

Leaving Laney's room behind, Rocky went through the back yard to escape the Geisha House. Midnight—a bone-chilling breeze blew through and past the few people on the street.

"Seems I have to find an inn to stay at.” Rocky decided that returning to the military camp for Sheridan wouldn't be the best idea. With nowhere else to stay, he headed towards the inn at the end of the street.

After making his reservation at the inn and with no other requests, Rocky was ushered to his rather inconspicuous room.

Upon entering the room, Rocky immediately shut the door behind him as he entered the Magic Spiritual Space—a mesmerizing realm where there was no clear distinction between night and day. Propped on the ground with a growing belly, the Dark Heaven Insect Queen was surrounded by three of her followers.

"Building a new lab in the Magic Spiritual Space? That's a great idea!" Rocky immediately told himself eagerly.

Made by the spiritual power, the Magic Spiritual Space had no problem accommodating even the tallest buildings.

Rocky realized that before he could start constructing the lab, he needed to figure out how to transport construction materials into the Magic Spiritual Space. For an ordinary spirit manipulator, this would be an impossible task—but not for Rocky. With his beasts and three enormous Dark Heaven Insects by his side, he would rise to the challenge.

"Why settle for a single lab in this vast Magic Spiritual Space when you have more than enough room for an entire lab base? It'll surely be useful in the future when I capture more spirit- manipulated beasts.” Rocky contemplated the idea.

Finally, Rocky came up with the idea of establishing a lab base. He decided it would have feeding sheds, training courts, operating rooms, laboratories, and an ample amount of construction space for any future projects.

After spending the night at the inn, Rocky set off for the mountain not far off from Evian City early the next morning. For his lab base, he would need lots of wood and stones

Upon entering the mountain, Rocky made a stop at a remote place far from the prying eyes of other people. There, he released his beasts and his three Dark Heaven Insects from the Magic Spiritual Space and then proceeded to collect wood and stones to be transported into it.

While Rocky prepared the materials for constructing the Magic Spiritual Space’s lab base, the Timber Deity Empire's army was making all the preparations as instructed by Alyssa after being forced back by the seventy thousand Crimson Dragon Army soldiers.

Nearby the Timber Deity Empire's main battlefront camp, ten robust, spirit-manipulated beasts were standing in order. They all ranged from three to ten meters long and resembled rhinoceroses. The spirit-manipulated beasts had a two-meter long pointed horn on each of their heads similar to a sharp sword. They were all at the third grade of the three-star level.

The beast tamers from other nations would definitely find this shocking

Those spirit-manipulated beasts were Huge-horned Rhinoceroses. Born in icy places, they were hard to spot and even harder to capture.

What was most impressive about Huge-horned Rhinoceroses was their size. In fact, their size could rival that of a dragon—which scarcely had an equal in the Wild Spirit Land. It was well known that the greater the spirit-manipulated beast's size was, the greater the amount of destruction it could unleash. The higher ranking beasts such as dragons were often the only ones who boasted a strong, tough body. Ordinary spirit-manipulated beasts were merely two meters tall and less than four meters long.

Although Rocky was impressed by the size of the Trunk Giant he saw in the forest outside the Myriad Beasts Ground, the Trunk Giant was still a dwarf compared to the dragons. Huge-horned Rhinoceroses, on the other hand, were almost of the same size as the dragons indicating that they were very powerful.

The Huge-horned Rhinoceros's giant horn was so destructive that it was able to penetrate a firm, thick city wall

Thus, Huge-horned Rhinoceroses were used to help armies during battles.

Because Huge-horned Rhinoceroses were quite useful in battle. They suffered from hunting, causing them to be on the verge of extinction. It was now rare to spot one in the Wild Spirit Land.

An army of ten thousand soldiers would be no match for the Timber Deity Empire's ten Huge- horned Rhinoceroses. Releasing them onto the battlefield would spell disaster.
