Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 593 The Moment Of Truth

The two commanders of the Timber Deity Empire witnessed Rocky's strength with their own eyes. Despite his weak aura, he seemed to be at least above the second grade of the Heavenly Stage. As for the two commanders, one was at the first grade of the Heavenly Stage, while the other was at the second grade of the Heavenly Stage. Even if they joined hands, they could only be on par with Rocky.

"Don't worry about him. Let's go and see how he can hold off this many people.” The commander in blue glared at the hesitant crowd. As a commander, he was afraid that if they delayed longer, the guards of Evian City could recover their defenses. They needed to catch up with the guards as soon as possible and kill them all.

Under the command of the two commanders of the Timber Deity Empire, the army rushed into the avenue. Flames were ablaze around them, and smoke rose to the sky. The heat waves assaulted them from all sides.

When Rocky saw the army of the Timber Deity Empire that was rushing towards him, a triumphant smile graced his lips. He quickly took out the Dragon Flame Pearl and infused all his spiritual power into it. As soon as this was done, the Dragon Flame Pearl swelled up, and several flame lights fluttered out.

Then, Rocky threw the Dragon Flame Pearl into the air. It flew unsteadily as if it had a life of its own. The fire streaks it left behind swayed like the tail of a long dragon.

At the same time, the flames on both sides of the road suddenly roared. It was like a volcano exploded, with all the flame and lava that scattered the streets. Flames swept across the air and rushed towards the road between the two sides. The sky turned grey with smoke, and was bathed in the red light of the flames.

"Retreat!" When the two commanders of the Timber Deity Empire saw this, they quickly ordered their soldiers to retreat.

However, a few soldiers of the army of the Timber Deity Empire had already rushed to the front. They realized that it was too late to retreat when the heat waves rushed from both sides. The whole army was thrown into chaos. Everyone wanted to escape, but they couldn't find a way out. They couldn't even organize themselves, let alone form a group.

A moment later, the flames on both sides of the road rolled up. The road disappeared beneath the wave of fire, as frightened screams echoed throughout the streets. Ruthless flames devoured the people, as they writhed and screamed in pain.

At this point, the entire road had formed a continuous sea of fire. It blocked the path forward of the army of the Timber Deity Empire.

The two commanders of the Timber Deity Empire stared at the road in front of them. Pity and fear filled their eyes, as they watched their soldiers suffer and die.

"Find another way!" the commander in red ordered angrily.

The army of the Timber Deity Empire retreated to another path, but it was obvious that they had been delayed for quite a while.

Rocky looked pleased, as he surveyed his enemies. He successfully blocked the army of the Timber Deity Empire, and they were forced to make a detour. With a satisfied smile, Rocky left with Uriah and the Rainbow Glow Unicorn.

By this time, Sabina had already led away some city guards in the northeast. They retreated into the training field with complicated terrain. While Rocky was stalling the army of the Timber Deity Empire, she had quickly chosen a gorge that was easy to defend but difficult to attack. With the time they had, she ordered her men to build some simple defensive barricades and various traps. Soon, the army of the Timber Deity Empire caught up with the city guards. They arrived at the defensive line, where Sabina led the defending force of the city guards. Her competence was evident with the very tight defensive line they had set.

The two commanders that Rocky utterly defeated finally arrived at their destination. They were forced to go the long way, which filled them with resentment and frustration. Their bruised egos were wholly intent on revenge. As a result, they haphazardly ordered their men to attack the defensive line of the soldiers of Evian City.

The commanders of the Timber Deity Empire had grown complacent with the thought that their troops had the advantage. They expected to easily break whatever defensive line the guards of Evian City had set. To their surprise, the defensive line of Evian City stood strong against all their powerful attacks. To make matters worse, the Timber Deity Empire's casualties increased sharply because of the city guards’ very good defense. The morale of the city guards surged to unprecedented levels as they fought, which made it difficult for them to defeat.

Sabina ferociously led the army of Evian City in their defense. Meanwhile, Sabina's other companions also joined forces with Duchess Silver to cover the army's defense. This time, Duchess Silver and Sabina killed countless people. Their ruthless competence frightened their enemies so badly that they could not fight back.

While Sabina led some soldiers of Evian City in the northwest, Commander Wang led the other in the southwest. The city guards fought valiantly against the army of the Timber Deity Empire that followed them. However, because of the lack of military forces, they were forced to retreat into a corner in the southwest area.

When the Timber Deity Empire army saw that the soldiers of Evian City were greatly weakened and about to collapse, they attacked with all their strength.

About half an hour later, Commander Wang personally raised the white flag and bowed to them. The news of the collapse of the soldiers of Evian City in the southeast was soon reported to Woods. "Surrender? Very well." The news filled Woods with satisfaction. At last, something was going according to their plans. He considered that the city was now in their hands. The number of the city soldiers had grown thin, and they wouldn't be able to withstand a single blow at this rate.

"Ask the army in the southwestern part to leave two thousand people to watch the soldiers of Evian City that had surrendered. The rest of the troops should quickly assist the northwestern part.” Woods could guess that the soldiers which surrendered had not included Rocky, so he was sure that Rocky was in the northwestern part. With Rocky's ability, a few additional forces could do the trick. On the other hand, the northwestern part had created a tight defense which worried him. It could be difficult to defeat them quickly, while he recruited troops at the same time.

With that thought, he decided that it was better to defeat the northwestern part with one blow. However, the worry lingered at the back of his mind. He carefully chose several bodyguards at the Heavenly Stage and commanded them. He would put that worry to rest by himself!

Once they received the orders, the southwestern part of the army of the Timber Deity Empire left two thousand military forces and a commander to guard those who had surrendered. The other commander led the rest of the military forces to the northwest.

On the flip side, the commanders finally admitted that Rocky was a genius. He was able to accurately foretell the movement of the opposing army. He had told them ahead of time that only two thousand military forces would be left to guard them. They sighed in relief, as they realized that things were going according to their plans. Now, they would have to lead the soldiers of Evian City to fight against the remaining army of the Timber Deity Empire.
